SOURCE: marantz pm730 pre amp works ok no sound from main

Look at the final out transistors. I'm not sure if you would have transistors or an amplifier pack? It has 8 to 14 pins maybe. Look to see if there are any burnt components, cracks, or where something got hot. Most components break down because of heat. Also look for bad solder joints.

NAD 7030 just stopped working on one channel. The speaker will work if the mono button is pressed in. Could this be a fuse problem ?

most likely it will be poor soldering on the input side - the fact both speakers work in mono means the pre & main amps are working fine

NAD C320. Only one channel sounds. Problem with the volume control?

Did you try to switch the loudspeakers? Before changing anything always lover the volume and switch off the amplifier.
Assuming you tested already different inputs, you can be sure no cable from signal source is out or defect. (or did you nit check that first?).
When the amp is switched off, disconnect the speakers and switch left to right and right to the left output.. If the other speaker is quiet now, you are sure it is in the amp. Still his can be anything.
You can check the connections between the pre and main amplifier on the back side. When you have an extra set of interlink cables, perhaps you can cross the in and output there too. Take care every time you change something, lower the voltage and switch off the amplifier. Sudden clicks when switching on or changing anything can damage the amp and or the speakers.

Perhaps when you checked this you can locate where the problem is? Speaker, speaker cable, power amp, pre amp, (only a part of the pre amp.

How do I connect a Mirage Omni s-10 Sub Woofer and a Parasound Model 2100 Pre Amp to the NAD C372 Amplifier?

You DO realize the preamp is duplicating stuff in the Nad C372, right? This Preamps adds nothing but PHONO connectivity and control. That's why they're called "preamps".

Model 2100 Picture and article:

Use the Sub Out pair on the Preamp (joined by an RCA Y-cable) for the Sub Input on the sub (duh):

Run RCA from the Preamp Main Out to the C372 Aux In to hear any sources attached to the preamp.

Or, if you don't NEED the preamp because you don't have a turntable, ditch the preamp and connect the sub using the speaker outputs on the NADS, according to the manual.

The volume will only turn up to "0" and barely hear a sound from the speakers. How can i trouble shoot this

I had a similar problem with an SR4320 that I bought used at Goodwill. First of all, turn the volume knob down; 0 db is actually the highest volume. Not sure why Marantz did that; it's counterintuitive. Set it to a more normal volume like -30 db. If it suddenly starts working, you'll blow out your speakers (and possibly your eardrums).

Second, check the back of the unit. There are two RCA connections that say "Pre Out" and "Main In". This is where you could connect another amplifier or a graphic equalizer. But if you don't have either of those hooked up, you need to have them connected to each other. Apparently the unit shipped with jumpers connecting these plugs, but a prior owner must have taken them off.

All you need is a short (1 foot or less) red and white RCA stereo cable. Connect the top Pre Out to the top Main In plug with the white cable and the bottom Pre Out to the bottom Main In plug with the red cable.

Hope this helps! It's a terrific receiver!

It's logical since the headphones jack is connected at the main amplifier. Does your new main amp has headphones out?

How do you connect power amp to av

I presume you want to use it to drive speakers from a source controlled by the Denon??? Probably the Front channels? We'll assume that's it...

Run RCA cables from the Pre Out jacks to the NAD's L and R inputs. If it has a volume control, set the NAD to its maximum volume (for consistency *), run through the setup for levels and you're done.

* If it doesn't have a volume control it's already set to max. That's normal for power amps. Your receiver / preamp controls the volume fed to them.

BTW: If you're thinking of using two sets of Front channel speakers simultaneously you'll have to choose a level on the NAD that will match up with the others in volume.

Connecting NAD 314 Receiver\ preamp to Carver M-500t to speakers

Dear Tim,
Yes, you can connect your NAD as a preamp to the Carver power Amp.

Connect the NAD's pre-out to the input of the Carver Power Amp. You can then connect the Klipsch speaker to the Carver. Set the gain control on the NAD.

Now you should be able to control all the input and the main volume control from the NAD.

Sorted it. You have to put the plugs back in the PreampOUt/Main in or it cuts out the pre-amp.
