No water cycling through the dish washer.

There is a bad burnt smell. The washer will fill up at the bottom with water but will not spin the spinners to wash.

My butter dish had a rancid smell to it. I use it now for just decoration, but when I threw it in the washer the smell is now on the other dishes and the dishwasher. What can I do?

Hello, W/D here.
The easiest fix for your issue is to place 2 cups of vinegar into the bottom of the washer, and a sprinkle of detergent on the door. Heat the water to the washer by running the hot water in the sink to as hot as it gets, then start a sanitary cycle. When that cycle is complete, follow it with 2 cups of bleach in the bottom of the washer, and a sprinkle of soap as before. Heat the water, and run another cycle. This should clear the odor up.
Best regards, W/D

Stopped working mid cycle. The timer still counts down but does not fill, agitate, spin, drain. And before it stopped, the water that was draining out smelled really bad.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use quite hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.

Dish washer not filling

I had the same problem. It was a clogged water inlet valve. Packed with sediment. Accessible from the bottom if you have the right tools. Just clean out and replace. Or the valve could be bad.

70 series Kenmore washer

POWERUP, YOUR WASHER COULD BE THE LID SWITCH OR THE COLD WATER VALVE. AT THE END OF THE WASH CYCLE, THE MOTOR WILL SPIN OUT THE WATER, BUT ONLY IF THE LID SWITCH IS ACTUATED. IF THE SWITCH IS BAD, IT WILL NOT SPIN OUT THE WATER AND THE TIMER WILL NOT ADVANCE FROM THAT POINT.
IF THE WASHER SPINS, THE NEXT STEP IS TO FILL WITH WATER FOR THE RINSE CYCLE. MOST WASHERS USE COLD WATER FOR RINSES. IF THE COLD WATER VALVE IS RESTRICTED OR FAULTY, THE WASHER WON'T FILL. IF THE WASHER WON'T FILL, THE WATER LEVEL SWITCH WON'T ACTIVATE AND THE TIMER WON'T ADVANCE TO THE NEXT STEP.

GE Potscrubber Disshwasher GSD700G, wont cycle

Most washers do not fill they spray the dishes. When enough water has accumulated in the bottom a float switch shuts off the water and turns on the pump to remove the water. If the pump motor does not remove the water the cycle will not continue but the timer will. There may be something clogging the pump and resulting in an overload condition for the motor. This would account for the smell. A pump may turn freely when you spin it by hand because you cannot spin it fast enough by hand to determine if the pump is obstructed. Does the cycle drain the water? If the cycle stops and there is water in the bottom not being pumped out then you should look at the pump and the motor to determine problem.

Maytag Neptune front load washer (top of the line)

some of the early washers had problems with a weak or faulty motor . take front panel loose and look at motor board it may look burnt on some of the resistors or look at the clear fuse at front of board it may be burnt if so use a motor/board conversion kit p#12002039.
