SOURCE: Bottom hinge on fridge door broken

Yes, there is supposed to be a plastic bushing/washer under there. Usually 1/8 inch thick. If a dealer is not handy you may cut some out of plastic to put there. Then undo the top hinge, and carefully lift the door off (you might want to empty the shelfs). Put your spacer on the hinge pin, and replace the door and the top hinge.

The drain in the freezer is blocked. Just below the cooling coils is a drain, when the defrost heater cycles on the water is suppose to go down the drain and into a pan under the ref.

I will look for your service manual and tell you that first it's most likely a blockage in the defrost condensate line. There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a in the defrost pan,
water leaking and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are caused by a defrost drain line blockage.
Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: kenmore elite (795.75544401)is suddenly dripping

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
The dripping water could be from the evaporator coil unit.... Under normal conditions,Self-defrost refrigerators usually dispose the water generated during the defrost cycle through a tube or channel that directs the water a pan (Known as Drip pan), commonly below the refrigerator unit.... The channel or tube is clogged and the water is leaking to the refrigerator unit, so you need to clear that contamination....Once the blockage is removed, the generated water will move through that channel/tube directly to the drip pan and there will no water on the top shelf in the refrigerator compartment. Another cause may be the refrigerator may have doorframe heaters to evaporate any condensation on the cabinet frame. If your refrigerator is equipped with a switch inside that says “energy saver” or something like that, while running in that mode the door heaters are disabled. Turn the switch to the opposite setting and wait 24 hours. If the water disappears the problem is solved.

Best of Luck,

SOURCE: dometic rm2804 door hinges are worn and plastic

I had this problem. I reversed the decorative plastic strips, both ends of the strip have hinge pin holes, so the doors can open left or right. I put the TOP decorative plastic strip on the bottom and BOTTOM on top.

How do i change the door so it opens from the right

Check the top and bottom of your fridge door at the furthest edge from the hinge. Do you see a plastic plug/insert, usually round that looks like they can be levered out with a thin blade? These cover holes that a hinge pin can be inserted into. At the hinge side (top and bottom in the same position as the aforementioned plug/insert) is where the hinge is attached to the door. If you remove the hinges from the fridge they should then come away from the door and you can swap them over to the other side and replace the plug/insert in the holes left where the hinge pins were originally fitted. The door should then be fitted to the other side of the fridge in holes similarly covered by a cap that you put in the holes left where the hinge was fixed.
I hope that makes sense, because I've just read it and confused myself I think.. ;)

How to change door opening to other side

Hi Eleanor,
Without a specific model number I can only give general information, but, Kenmore fridges are all about the same, so here we go. Take a close look at your unit. You should observe several small plugs inserted on the side of the doors that don't have the hinges currently mounted. These inserts cover threaded holes that are used to mount the hardware for the hinges. If your fridge has two doors one above the other. remove the top hinge hardware, lift the door up off of the bottom hinge pin. then remove the bottom hardware on the top door. Typically the mounting screws are either phillips head or 1/4" hex head machine screws. You should now see that there is now a threaded hole in the same position on that side as the plug in caps on the other side. remove the caps from the one side and insert them in their respective holes on the other side. the door hinges will attach to the now exposed holes on the side that the plugs were removed from. But not yet. First remove the top hinge hardware on the bottom door, lift the bottom door off of the bottom hinge, and then remove the bottom door hardware relocating the bottom hardware to the other side. Install the bottom door onto the hinge pin of the bottom door hinge. Close the door then install the top hinge on the bottom door. Next install the bottom hinge and hardware for the top door, set the top door on the installed hinge, close the door add install the top door top hinge and hardware next. Same with the door handles. All of this info applies to the doors and the fridge itself.

What is the plastic knob under the door hinge used for on kenmore model 7803 refrigerator?

Most modern fridges have these small plastic knobs [usually both top and bottom]. They are usually only COVERS for threaded mounting holes so that the fridge/freezer doors can be mounted for either left OR right opening ... ok They are generally around 1/2" [13mm] in diameter x 1/8" [3mm] in height.
They also help support the door [when it is closed] and prevent any "sagging" and/or mis-alignment or distortion of the fridge door which [these days] can be quite heavy when fully loaded.

How do i fit the door on the other side

If you look at the opposite side of your refrigerator, you'll find one or more plastic covers which can be removed to expose mounting holes. You have to remove the doors from the current mounting position, remove the hinges and transfer them to the other side, install the doors and you're done

My control panel on the freezer door stopped working all together. Everything else on the fridge is working fine just the panel for the ice and water dispencer and all the lights on the panel. Thanks Eric

Make sure the wires on the left top door hinge are still connected. They are usually under a plastic hinge cover.
Sometimes there are wires on the bottom left door hinge that get disconnected when you move the fridge as well.

How do i change which side the door opens

I have a different Bosch but changing the door over is straightforward.
1. Remove the plastic cover above the top door which fits over the controls. There are 2 screws under it holding it on. Lever it up from the back on top and it pops off.
2. Remove the hinge for the top door held on by 2 bolts
3. Take the top door off
4. Remove the central hinge between the doors held on by 2 screws
4. Lift the bottom door off
5. Pull off the bottm plastic cover
6. Move the post in the bottom hinge to the other side. It screws out
7 Replace the bottom door
8 Replace the central hinge on the other side (Take off any plastic caps covering the holes)
9. Unscrew the post on the top hinge (there are 2 possible holes left and right) and put it in the other hole.
10. Put the top door on
11. Bolt the top hinge back on the other side
12 Replace top cover and screws.
13 Move handles (unscrew and pull towards the door edge to get them off)

Right Door is making loud popping noise

After reading these posts, I fixed my refrigerator door in less than 5 minutes. The little black plastic cam on the bottom hinge was loose. To fix it, take the hinge cover off of the top with an 8mm socket, and remove the three 8mm screws holding the top hinge on. Remove the door by lifting up off of the bottom hinge and set it aside. On the bottom hinge is a black plastic cam held on by an 8mm screw. The screw on mine was really loose. Tightening it and putting the door back on made it work like new. You probably don't have a bad cam, just a loose one.
