Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

No Image Hopefully someone can help me with this really annoying problem. When I boot my Xbox up I don't get an image. The game loads and I can hear the in game sound but just get a blank screen. It was working just yesterday but now I can't get a picture. I have bought a new set of leads but I have the same issue. When I plug my other consoles into the same plugs on the TV I get a picture no problems. Please help as I am going out of my mind!!!

I am on the correct Tv channel as it has always been on the same channel and always worked fine. I can also hear the in game sound so I know I am on the correct tv channel.

I am presuming that it is something to do with the Xbox as I have even tried different leads.

I don't get any red lights though so the Xbox still thinks it is sending a picture.

There seems to be a lot of solder issues with the 360. I bit the bullet and tried the towel trick, where you over heat the 360 for about 20 min. I Let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.

Make sure you are on the correct TV Setting. Most TVs have different video settings such as TV, Video 1, Video 2, Component, and many others depending on what type of tv you have. You can find the button on the TV remote. It will probably say something like "TV/Video" on the remote. Hope this helps.

for the most part no. but if you have a modded 360 you may use the alcohol 120 utility and create an image of the game and burn the image back on a dvd and play it. you can also try contacting the manufacturing co. for the game and see if they have some kind of replacement options considering that the xbox has KCI problems of scratching the games.

Excellent info

I spent alot of time working thru the issues to produce an image for someone else. He forgot who had the problem and was expecting me to run round finding/upgrading my internet connection to upload a 11gig image for him.
What I will do is mail 3 dvd along with program required to create disk. Note you need two PC as the program only creates disk from image downloaded from ftp server. The program is freeware G4U which you'll find easily on the web.
Note my TV system is PAL and I'm not sure if this can be changed.

Try removing your HD from the system then load the game.

If that works insert the HD and try again if the image still stays you may need to delete everything off your HD.

Freezing during oblivian

Oblivion uses the Xbox 360 hard drive to cache game data and in some cases the info stored on the hard drive can get fragmented, slowing down the game's performance. Bethesda has already found out a way to fix the issue. Here is the official word: Oblivion uses the Xbox 360 hard drive extensively to cache (copy and reuse) game data. This is done to optimize all loading the game does. It has been found in rare cases on some Xbox 360s that the cached data can get overly fragmented. This exhibits itself by the game taking a long time to load anything from menus, dialogue, sounds, objects, levels, and more. To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while Oblivion is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one. Once you see the ?Bethesda Softworks? logo video, the game is already loaded, and the cache should have been cleared. Note, this does not effect your game in any way other than loading. You will not lose any saved data.
