Same issue, but a 99 318 E46... Someone said it had something to do with warmer temperatures and/or the hood sensor (for someone opening the hood) I'm still trying to figure it out.

Had the same problem. I cleaned the bonnet open/close sensor located at the back left of the engine compartment, and sprayed it with wd40. Worked a treat for me. Another solution is to push you lock button twice. This turns off the interior movement sensor.

there is a button on the left hand side of your turn signal lever that says bc. there is also a button on that switch that can be pushed up and down. start your car finger up on the small switch on your turn signal until you see the tire light symbol. once you see the symbol in you instrument cluster press the bc button once then hold it until it says resetting. drive the car and the light will go off in a matter of minutes maximum.

2003 BMW Car Alarm keeps going off

Hi , you can lock your car without activating the allarm by using the key to lock your car manually ( not the remote ) , the most common alarm fault on this car is the hood switch, if you change this buy one for a bmw Z4 model which is slightly longer and garrentees a contact when the hood is closed, hope this helps regards mark
