Fuzzy sound when instrument being played

I hear a fuzzy or light crackling sound whenever I pluck any string on my bass. When I am not playing there isn't any sound.

The instrument works perfectly and I have played multiple guitars through the system with the same result.

The 1/4" output on your bass needs to be resoldered in 1 or more places. It's very common.
