Panasonic KX-TGA431AL dies when switched to speakerphone

Ever time I switch my call to speakerphone on the KX-TGA431AL in order to work more efficiently, the phone just stops working! Initially it was on one of the handsets, but now it happens on both. Anyway to fix this would be greatly appreciated :)

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

SOURCE: Uniden cordless phones

This sounds like the register-deregister problem elsewhere on this page. Try holding down the "end" and "#" buttons for about 6 seconds to deregister the phones and then reregister them. I had this problem too and it worked for me.

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-TG2740 Cordless Phone - Can I reset handset registration

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.

SOURCE: adding handset to Panasonic KX-TGA542M phone. ? how to ?

I ordered a new kx-tg560m handset for my kx-tg5632 base unit, but the enclosed instructions for registering it with the base unit were wrong. Fortunately, I found the old quick setup guide in my files.

If you do not have the same base unit and handset, go to the URL:
http://www.panaxonic.com/RegisterYourHandset.

1. On the handset, press [MENU], then press [0][0]. The handset displays "Refer to manual to prepare base. Then press OK->"
2. On the base unit, press [SELECT] until the desired extension number [H1, H2, H3, or H4] is displayed on the base unit, then press and hold [CALL] until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
3. On the handset, press the [OK] softkey.

When the handset is off and sitting in the charger, the handset's extension is displayed in the upper right corner.

SOURCE: Panasonic cordless handsets all say line in use

I had the same problem. Something makes the phone's memory get "stuck."  Take the battery out of the phone for a minute and then put it back. Then unplug the phone and plug in again. You need to do this with all extensions. The problem goes away.

SOURCE: Caller ID has aparently stopped working

Based on a user's review of this phone system on Amazon, I unplugged the base station, waited a few seconds and then plugged it back in. Caller ID display and announcement both work fine.

You have not configured the phone. If you do not set the number of rings before switching to the answering machine, the phone rings ten times then goes to the answering machine.

I have panasonic digital cordless answering system model n:KX-TG8061E speakerphone not work

Ball park guess is that something got spilled on the speaker. If you are handy you could replace the speaker yourself with just about any speaker you can find that fits in the space. This could also be the switch that changes it over to speaker phone. If this is the case then you will need to replace the circuit board that controls this. Much easier and cheaper to find a different one at a garage sale. I see them all the time for 1 to 3 dollars.

Just brought a new Panasonic KX-T7330 phone, but not working (no sound at all) with plug in existing phone line plug. Used back the old phone with that phone line plug. that old phone is working normal....

It's pretty straightforward. We didn't get many 73xx phones installed in the U.S., but make sure you're using a 4 conductor line cord and see if it works on speakerphone. If it doesn't, it may have a headset/handset switch on the side or it may just be toast.
