Hyundai terracan car stereo has error 6 with cds, now error 3 plus amp-grd. nothing works at all anymore. how do i fix?

At least you tried. Good for you. If you want to keep going, pull it out take it apart and look for bad solder joints. It's already broke, how much more can you break it? Radios usually go bad bad from solder joints. Can you use a soldering gun? If you don't, replace the radio.

When i turn stereo on and there is no sound and AMP GRD comes up. how do i sort this out

The amp needs a ground green wire. Attach it to a metal object with a screw. The wiring harness will have a green wire sometimes with a factory installed ring on it to be able to attach it to a ground

Want to know what the colors are for the stereo wires

At this stage of the game(25 yr old car) make your own. Run 2 wires from battery (B+ and GRD) to radio. Make sure you put a fuse in the B+ circuit according to Radio's spec's. Install antenna wire in radio and if you don't know what color speaker wires are remove a speaker look at its wiring and locate them under the dashboard. If can't locate them buy some and install them. You need a B+ and Grd wire for each speaker from speaker to radio.

My clarion cd player in my boat was working fine now it says amp grd. I have looked but i see nothing unhooked what can i do to get sound out of my speakers?

Remove all the speaker wires.

Power the radio back on and verify it is not the radio at fault.

If it powers up, check the speakers with a Digital Multimeter set to OHMS 20x.

Each speaker should have a resistance of 4 ohms. (or 8 in some cases)

Any variance (+/- .5ohms) means the voicecoil is blown, and replace that speaker.

Installed and no sound or nothing

Im guessing you have an amplifier if not check the cd player ground " AMP GRD" means amp ground is faulty. In the event that you do have an amplifier check that ground wire as it's most likely the problem.
