Dryer emits a high pitch tone noise, like a color bars/TV guest pattern noise. Spins fine, dries fine.

You don't give any information about the dryers age etc, but as a dryer ages, often times a squealing noise happens because the rollers that the drum rides on have dried out bearings. These rollers are under the back side of the drum. If that is the problem, the rollers have to be removed and lubed or else replaced.

If you plan on doing repairs yourself, you have to remove the drum and belt to access the rollers. I usually just lube the bearing surfaces of the rollers and shaft if they look like they are in good shape otherwise. Be sure to disconnect all power to the dryer before attempting any repairs.

Emits high pitched whistling after unit runs for 30 minutes

Sounds to me like the bearings are going bad in the motor. The hotter it gets the grease breaks down and the squealing starts.

LG dle3777w emitting a high-pitched squeal

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
If your dryer is making a squealing sound or a high pitch noise please look at the following
Rollers Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time. Idler pulley Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it. Glides Many dryers use nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn, they can be noisy. When that happens, replace them. Rear drum bearing Some dryers support the clothes drum in the rear with a center spindle instead of rollers. The spindle may be a ball-and-socket type support or a shaft through a sleeve. When the components are worn, they may squeak, squeal, or rub. You can't repair them. Just replace them when they're worn. Blower wheel Your dryer's blower wheel pulls air over the heat source, through the clothes drum, and past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. The blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time. But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you probably need to replace it.

Maytag electric dryer is making a high pitched noise

The squealing noise is from the belt tensioner. Replace the pulley only on the tensioner along with a new belt. The bearing in the pulley is causing the squeal. Sears will sell this in a kit. The top and the front panel of the dryer will have to be removed to replace these parts

High pitch squeal-metal on metal contact

A lot of dryers have plastic or felt slides on the drum. This is to reduce friction as it rotates. They are probably worn off.

New High Pitch sound

If the sound is from the compressor, the unit is likely under warranty...generally 5 years.  If the unit is frozen up and the sound is from a fan that is hitting ice, defrost the unit completely.  Other fans in the unit could also be squealing.  You'll have to be a detective.
