If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

One station only has lost sound but piture is great. All other channels work fine.

Have you tried retuning the TV? You may need to do a Full Factory Reset tuning rather than just a rescan.

Rescan simply looks at the place holders where the old channels were stored and refreshes them. A Factory Reset (A.K.A. Shipping Condition) wipes the channel memories and starts again fresh.

Factory reset hitachi tv

To do a factory reset (System reset); you have to enter its service mode option. Like older model TVs, there is no switch marked "Reset"; to latest model sets.
If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

My samsung BluRay Player BD D5700 will play DVD's but will not play BluRay DVD's.

I had a similar issue. Try resetting your resolution. By default it should be at the highest level. I reset mine to 1080i and now the BluRays will play.

My TV is a few years old, I think it was bogging down because it was getting too much information from the player, but that's just a guess.

Hi have a hitachi c29-f100, how do I reset it

Hello
I'm not sure about what preset option you are asking for. If it is to reset the parentia passcode reset; key in '7777' will reset the set to its factory preset code '0000'. You can reset the passcode afterwards. If you wish to picture, sound etc; to return them to factory preset, select each window, hilight the reset option and pres enter. This will reset the that window settiing to its factory preset. OK.

My BDP S550 was working playing most blurays. The other day I put the original release avatar bluray in and it came up as disc unknown, which had worked before. Now no blurays work in my bluray player...

If nothing is playing, you either have a dirty lens or it's out of alignment and will need service. Try a DVD lens cleaner that uses fluid, they usually cost 20 or so and can be purchased just about anywhere these days. If it still won't play, it's a service issue and needs repair/replacement, depending on cost. Get an estimate first. Hope the cleaner works!!!

A better pic

Yes there is. You can buy an HD Disc player. There is two types out there, HD and Bluray. I would recommend Bluray because it seems like HD DVDs are falling off. So buy a Bluray player and Bluray discs instead of traditional DVDs, traditional DVDs will not put out in HD. Also, if you have cable, get an HD receiver and you can pick up the special HD channels. Good luck. If you need anymore help, let me know.
