Question about Dell Computers & Internet

Webcam snap photos

My webcam was taking great photos and now all of a sudden they look blurry. I can't figure out if I accidentally changes some of the settings or what but no matter what I change they are still blurry.

SOURCE: How do I change the colour settings on the built

If you can change the color settings at all, you will have to do it through a software program that came with the cam, if any. Also, a lot of cams don't have any color adjustments. Check the program that came with it (run it, and look at your options). You can usually snap photos or take videos with the "capture picture" or "capture video" setting. Hope this helps.

Before taking pictures my lcd is blurry but my pictures are great?

If the LCD image is blurry all the time there could be an issue with the screen itself. If it only gets blurry just before you take the photo it's just doing a quick focus before the photo is taken and you're seeing that happen.

How to improve picture quality of Digital Camera

Slow down the shutter speed of your digital camera. Whenever you must take a photo in a low light environment decrease your shutter speed. It is virtually impossible to take a blurry digital photo with a an extremely slow shutter speed. Even if your digital camera has an automatic or semi-automatic mode, slowing down the shutter speed will still produce a better digital photo.
Wait until your digital camera is completely focused. Most digital cameras will notify you that they are focus ready by a blinking light, on screen indicator or a noise. Confirm that your digital camera has locked onto your desired target before pressing the shutter release button. Some digital cameras may have trouble focusing on subjects easily. If this happens use an auto focus mode to produce a better digital photo.
Prevent your digital camera from shaking. Shaky hands or sudden movement will definitely produce a blurry digital photo. When holding your digital camera, make sure the viewfinder is firmly pressed against your face before snapping a digital photo. If you do not have image stabilization on your digital camera, then think about investing in a tripod. This will allow you to steady your digital camera for the perfect shot.
Make sure the digital image is definitely a blurry one and not just a soft image. On many occasions soft images are mistaken for blurry ones. Soft images occur often with digital cameras. When printing these images, the softness rarely shows through. You will be able to easily edit these photos by sharpening the details for a better printing experience.
Take your time. Instead of rushing to take a digital photo, set aside enough time to shoot your image. Hurrying up will not produce an excellent digital photo. You don't need to be overwhelmingly slow when taking the photo, but try your best not to take a hasty one.

If the LCD displays correctly on previous photos then the problem is more than likely a CCD or associated ribbon connector failure due to moisture/condensation or age/misuse. Good luck with finding a replacement part!

There is no sound when I play back the video on my camera, My camera is Canon power Shot SX130. I am recording sound and cant not hear it when it is played back..HELP!! Question #2....When The flash is...

Ensure the volume is on under the Menu of your camera. That's about as much as I can tell you with that.

However, I can diagnose the blurry picture. What's happening is your exposure is set for too long, and your shutter remains open longer than it should.

Remove the camera from the AUTO setting and place it on the M setting.

From here, you will see something that either has a fraction like 1/200 or 0'3". What you want is to adjust that fraction using your toggle keys so that the fraction of the shutter speed is reduced to smaller increments.

A good reference is as follows

1'0" - Your shutter will be open for 1 second, gathering a lot of light. Anything moving in the photo will by blurry. Best used for still photo's in low-light conditions. Use a tripod or stable surface.

0'3" - Used for low light photo's where there is minimal movement. Not good for hand-held.

1/100 - Used for mid-light photo's where there is minimal movement. Can be taken hand-held, but a tripod is still recommended.

1/400 - Better for taking shots in well-lit scenes where things are moving. Camera blur won't be a problem unless subject is moving greater than 10mph.

1/1000 - Great for taking shots of things moving very quickly. Scene must be well lit and it will freeze the action of whatever it's taking a photo of. No tripod needed.

Hope this helps!

My screen shows a blurry picture and it takes a blurry picture. it didnt used to. what is wrong? how do i fix it?

I have the exact same problem. When I was in NY last fall, suddenly my camera would only take blurry pictures. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. I can get halfway decent pictures in Auto mode, but any of the other settings only take blurry pictures. Apparently a lot of people have this problem, but no one knows how to solve it...

Blurry pictures

Check to see what the setting is for Image Size (I have sony cybershot DSC-w50). On the camera itself, it is the button on the bottom. My camera was on the 8"x10" size and I was getting blurry shots (especially with people in them). I switched it to the 4x6 print size and it seems to be much clearer.
