Firstly locate the element, in some cases there will be a large panel at the back of the oven covering the element. Before proceeding any further turn off your power. The Element is held into place by a few screws, remove these ensuring you don't strain the power connectors. Gently take off the power cable clips disconnecting the element from the oven. Replace element with new one, connecting clips and screwing into place be very careful and they easily break. Turn on power and test.

How do i change the heating element on neff b1421 oven do I need to take the back off from the back , inside the oven. i already have an element.

Not familiar with this oven but most elements are able to be changed from inside the oven. The only exception is when the element is under the floor of the oven which will require taking off the back of the oven to access element.
If the element is on the back wall and it is fan forced, element normally round, you will have to remove the protective cover.
