Question about Canon PC-D320 Copier

System error "E000"

My wife was using the copier for multiple copies of the same paper and the last two copies came out smudged just before the machine shut down. It displayed the message: "System Error E000" I then replaced the cartridge, but it did not solve the problem. Now, when I turn the machine on, it will appear normal until the Start button is pressed. It then makes a few strange noises just before the alarm light comes on and it displays the above fault.

    Hi Jason,
Thanks for your help, but I already tried both of those to no avail! Do you know what E000 means?

Reset the device when it does not respond. If the device does not respond, disconnect and then reconnect the power cord. At the device or at the electrical outlet, disconnect the power cord or adapter. Wait approximately ten seconds and then reconnect the power cord. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request. If this doesn't work try reseting If all else fails I would suggest taking it to a qualified service center. Hope this helps:) Jason

    The error code means:
Bad thermistor, thermofuse, fusing element, triac or power supply. Fusing unit not heating up.
Tried to find the process for changing the thermistor but had no luck. This was all I could come up with. Sorry I wasn't much more help.

I went to copy a sheet of paper this morning and my copier worked. Then i went to copy another page and i got a paper jam, and then System Error E000 appeared, and now i don't know how to fix it.

There still might be a tiny piece of paper caught in there. Take out the toner, and if you can open any panels, check inside those too.

Hope this helps

Heater Unit & Hard Disk problem ir3300

1) what kind of hdd failure? Did copier report error code like E602-0003, or? When the hdd error occured did the service exchange HDD with new one and upgrade the system. Other thing, but not mostly likeble, check the current in el. insert.

2) Wich kind of problems? Did the copier reported E000, E001, E002, E003,..., is there was smudged copies, paper jams,..., how did you solve the problem? Did the service replace fixing film unit, or complete fixing unit? Do you have enough air flow around the copier, is the copier beneath the air conditioning device, is there any air draft,...?

If you want you can contact me on, for more help.

Error Msg E000

E000 is a fixing unit failure...either the thermistor or fixing lamp failed. Not sure about individual part replacement, most likely needs entire unit replaced....then reset the code.

The Screen on Canon Image Runner says E000 - can't make copies

Your Fuser just went , Call you Canon independent or Authrized dealer, he will need to go into the simulation to reset this error. Usually E000 is either a fuser or fuser web error. I'll need to look this up in the service manual. most likely you'll need a quailify technician to reset this error code.

System Error E000

Since there are few techs who can function on telepathy alone, a make and model number is mandatory.

Make; model #; description of problem, and it wouldn't hurt to mention (generally) where you are located.

There isn't a 'generic problem' within even a particular manufacturer's machines; most have varying sets of error codes within series of machines since they may be equipped differently.
