Re: not recieving

Are all channels not working? your town might have changed to a digital signal therefore you will not be able to receive broadcasts if this is the case you would need a different scanner

To get celluar frequencies on bc350c 800mhz 100 channel scanner.

You can no longer listen to cell phones with police scanners as all cell phones are now digital. Years ago when cell phones were using the 800mhz band it was possible. But only with select older models of scanners such as the BC-200XLT and after an internal modification to allow tuning of 860-880 mhz range. I do believe there is equipment out there that can listen to digital cell phones but its very expensive ($10,000) and only for law enforcement use. Hope this answers your question.

How To Manually Selct A Channel?

You are not in the programmable channel mode, so you can only receive preprogrammed frequencies. Press the "hold" button, then the "func" key, then the "E" key. Now type the frequency you wish to program & press "E" again. To continue to the next channel, press "E" & repeat the programming procedure.

Talkgroups and control channel problems?

No, you are not programming it wrong. The reason it is picking up all the active talkgroups is because the bank is "open". Hit manual like you are going to program a frequency in. Go to the particular bank in question and hit the function , 5. The display should say bank closed. This will "close" the bank and only allow the talkgroups you have programmed thru. To "open" the bank back up to recieve all frequencies do the same thing again. Function, 5. If you have any other questions email me at and I will be glad to help.

Hwy pre-programmed frequencies

Unfortunately, I think this is a common problem with these radios. I have a brand new BCT8 and it started to not receive anything on the pre-programed highway patrol after using less than a month. Unfortunately the best bet would be to contact Uniden which they will probably tell you to reload the firmware (which won't solve the problem) or send it to them to fix.

Pro-97 scanner recieving problem

try going to a urban area and scanning the NOAA band. if that works your programming is wrong and there is nothing wrong with your AM/FM base band. also the BNC antenna connector on the inside is notorious for breaking away from the board, nothing a little solder cant handle. Also make sure your local freq's are not Digital
