Random is truly a difficult problem to solve, if no pattern of failure can be detected. It sounds as though the alarm may be at fault. Is the alarm on and set to radio, CD, or beep? If radio, that could pinpoint the problem. If you have another, mechanical alarm, use it for a couple nights with the Bose Wave alarm off. If the Bose still acts up, then it isn't the alarm. Try unplugging the unit, waiting at least 30 seconds, and plugging it back in, which will cause you to need to reset the alarm. Alternately, remove the Bose cover and blow out dust. I find the Bose susceptible to dust as a cause of malfunction, which may point to the cause being the compact design of the unit. Good luck.

SOURCE: bose wave radio signal fades in and out, cd stops and starts

i would check the power supply for bad solder joints or cracks in the traces on the printed circuit board, possible around the heaviest components (usually a transformer) or a loose connector. You can use the eraser end of a pencil to push on components to see if any of them cause the problem to manifest, and if so, turn off the power and reheat the solder connections to that component.

SOURCE: lost remote

This varies depending upon the universal remote. Some will officially support a specific range of brands and electronics. You enter in the code of the electronic device and then the remote fully controls it.

There may also be some higher end remotes that are more sophisticated that can generate test signals to aid in figuring out what signals the electronic component responds to.

You may also be able to buy a used Bose remote off a place like eBay, if you can't find a universal remote the specifically supports Bose.

SOURCE: Need help changing batteries on Wave Radio remote

Setting up the remote control

WARNING: Keep the remote control battery away from children. It may cause a fire or

chemical burn if mishandled. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 100°C (212°F), or

incinerate. Dispose of used battery promptly. Replace only with a battery of the correct type

and model number.

Your remote control may be one of two types. Each is identified by the way

the battery compartment unlocks to install or replace the battery.

1. Place the remote control face down on a flat surface.

2. If your remote has a slot on the back, follow step A. Otherwise, follow step B:

A. Insert the tip of a ballpoint pen into the slot. Push to the side as shown and hold. Slide

the battery compartment open with your finger.

B. Using your finger, push the tab lock to the side as shown and hold. Slide the battery

compartment open.

Setting Up

See operating

instructions for types of

battery to be used

Note: Use only a Duracell, Eveready, Maxell, or Toshiba CR2032 or DL2032 lithium battery

(available at electronics stores). If you have difficulty finding a replacement battery, contact

Bose® Product Support (see phone numbers on the inside back cover).

3. Keeping the remote control face down, insert the new battery into the compartment with

the + symbol facing up.

4. Gently slide the battery compartment closed. It locks automatically.

5. Use the supplied mounting strip if you want to attach the remote to a surface in your

listening room. Peel off the protective backing to stick one piece to the back of the remote
and the other to the selected surface.

Remote does not work, battery is good. Can I program my dish network remote? If so what codes can I use.

Sorry to hear about your original remote; we would be happy to help you with addressing your DISH remote to your Bose Wave Radio. Here is a list of some of the codes that we havefor Bose Wave Radio: 761, 664, 656, and 639.

Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of theremote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then one of the codes for your Bose Wave Radio provided above. Press the pound (#) button, the mode light should flashthree times. Check that the code works by trying several different functions onthe remote to make sure it will properly operate your Bose Wave Radio. Keep in mindthat some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, please try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps you, and thank you for being a valued DISH Network Customer!
