If it is an electric range, are you getting a fault code (F-?)? If not, does the bake element (bottom) have any rough areas? If it is gas, (barring a fault code), it is probably the ignitor.

My ariston oven won't turn on. The stove works and

check and see if the broil works in the oven ,2 if it turns on meaning the element in the top turns red then this generaly means both side of the switch are good. and you need to replace the element on the bottom of the stove.now turn off the stove .1st unplug the stove. 2nd there are 2 screws at the back of the stove on a metal plate which is attached to the element take them off.3rd gently pull out the element about 3 inches until you see 2 wires. there are 2 ways the wires could be connected either push on or by screws if you dont see a screw abviusly its push on. just grab the end of the wire ON the connecter and grab the elemnt at the connecter and wigglethe connector back and forth while pullin on the connecter. wala. now locate the model number and go to amazon.com or your local parts house and install in reverse

Hotpoint oven won't heat above 250 degrees broiler works fine as well as the stove top

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

My Kenmore range model # 790.9601 is acting strange. My stove would loose power when I opened my oven door, when I would shut it the range would buzz and then the power would come back on. It did this...

Hello,
This seems like a power issue, as you disconnected it and reconnected it with limited success. I would believe that the power is ok into the machine, but from there there is some wiring inside that needs attention, perhaps the machine is an older model and they are corroded to a point that there is a short or similar problem inside.
Use care and check inside to see if you see a short or broken wire. Let me know if there is any other assistance I can give,
Joe

Digital oven will not turn on, I press bake/broil it reads ''Loc''

Look on the control panel for an icon that looks like a padlock near one of the buttons. Hold that button down until it beeps and that should unlock the panel.

Kenmore Stove Glass top

Hello,

I have a Kenmore glass stove, not sure what the model number is I don't have it with me right now. Yesterday, the timer started to beep and F1 started to flash in the display. The stove top is working, but the oven does not. The only way I can get the timer to stop beeping is to unplug the stove.

Any suggestions as to what is going on with this stove. It's only 4 years old.

Thanks
