Yes you can but make sure they do not touch each other or else the amp will burn.

SOURCE: Hooking up speakers to amp

YES ! This is usually ok, the speaker cabinet should contain a high pass filter or crossover on the tweeter to decouple it from the low frequency signals. My Linn Index speakers are wired like this.

At this point you are better off not connecting the ground wire at all. The BGW was designed for a 2-wire system and is internally isolated. Just connect the white and black to where they were before and call it a day.

SOURCE: wondering if non soldered terminals will cause

You're right; The clip-type or pinch-terminals could have just enough wiggle room to break connection when the box vibrates....causing the In & Out scenario.

You mentioned that the set (amp & subs) were mated in another vehicle, so there's little doubt that the subs are under-rated for the amp, right?
No chance that the sub-level adjustment was cranked up during the move, causing the aging subs to wash out...and you triple-checked the polarities, right?

The breaker is stuck because there's some internal circuit problem on the amp. Something is tripping it i.e. a wiring short or blown speaker driver if they're connected, or an output transistor has blown.

Fix the problem BEFORE trying to reset.

Switch all off. Disconnect your speakers from the power amp. Switch the amp back on. If it will reset now then you have a wiring or speaker issue. If it won't reset then the problem is something broke in the amp.

Transistors are part of the circuit board. They're soldered in and also bolted to heat sinks. Not a DIY fix unless you know what you're doing. Take the amp to a repair shop.

Bose acoustimas speaker output jacks not working

try to trace your problem inside the main circuitry of the jacks ( open it and see on the solder side of the Printed circuit board(where all the electronic components and soldered/welded if there are loose connections (small cracks... use magnifying glass if you have one) then solder them.
also check for the transistor amplifiers and output capacitors....
check also for the connectivity of all wirings!

The subwoofers still thump when i turn the volume all the way down. and they're not thumping the song it's kind of random thumping. I looked at the amp, the power wire looked like it was slightly pulled...

try running a wire from the ground to the shielding of the rca's. if that works you have a bad rca ground. you can either get the amp repaired or solder a wire onto the shield of the rca's.

A DENON DCA-660BL car amplifier after a certain volume its shuts donw the subwoofer. It's not the sub's problem.I connected a different amp and it worked fine.Any opinions?

It could be a few things. Those amps have pretty sophisticated monitoring circuits that watch for impedence mismatch, current draw, clipping, overdriving, etc...

I would double check the power going to the amp. You should be using 8 AWG wire or larger, be connected directly to the battery, have an inline fuse at the battery connection, and the terminals should be crimped and/or soldered. The connections here are critical. The ground wire must be terminated properly as well. Did you use a lug and a screw drilled into the body? If the paint scraped away from where the ground is connected so there is no ihgh resistance termination? If you think the power is good then your amp may be failing.

Chrysler Part No. P56038933AB Radio Wire Color code

1982 to 2001 wiring harness color code Chrysler.

12V constant pink or pink/white stripe
12V accessory red/white stripe
Antenna/Amp turn on white
12V Illumination black/yellow stripe
Left front + dark green
Left front - brown/red stripe
Right front + purple
Right front - blue/red stripe
Left rear + brown/blue stripe
Left rear - brown/yellow stripe
Right rear + blue/ orange stripe
Right rear - blue/white stripe

there is no ground wire in the harness, the metal braided strap is the ground.
use a ring terminal, speed clip, and screw to attach the ground wire from new radio
when replacing infinity radios and speakers, there are 4 wires instead of 2 at the speaker plug. the large gauge blue and black wires are the power supply for the amp, the other 2 are signal wires from the deck and will match up to the wire color codes above. simply cap off the power and ground and use the other 2 for speaker leads.

One thing i hate to see is someone who just hacks off the plugs behind the radio because they are too cheap/lazy/dumb to buy a wire harness adapter for the nice new aftermarket deck they just bought. ive seen everything from masking tape to house wire nuts used to connect wires, and they never last.
there is only 1 reliable permanent way to connect wires together - SOLDER AND SHRINK WRAP!!! whether you're connecting wiring for a radio, fog lights, repairing a cut wire, etc solder those wires, you'll be glad you did when you never have a problem with that circuit again.

This is a listing for part #'s for dash kits wire harness adapters
all part numbers are metra unless otherwise noted
dash kit 99-6700, 99-6701 and 99-6500 will work for most cars
wire harness adapter 70-1817
reverse harness( to replace factory plug that have been cut off) 71-1817
speaker adapter plugs 72-6510, non amped 72-6513 when equiped w infinity system and bypassing fact amps

no antenna adapters are required until you hit 2002 model year.
beginning in 2005 chrysler switched to a high speed LAN system in all its cars and trucks. there is no longer a switched ignition lead in the harness.
Good Luck
