Your cartridge must be out of ink. If it is a refilled one then don't worry, just ignore the message if it is printing well. This occurs because once the sensor inside the cartridge senses low ink it will show the message, even after refilling because resetting the sensor of refilled cartridges is a complicated process and the message will appear till you reset the ink level sensor inside the cartridge.

Hi, I have a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 1515, and the printer keep making a grinding noise while printing something, does someone knows why?

Turn the printer on, and replace the cartridges if possible. If the carriage moves, but there is still a grinding noise, there may be a paper feed issue. If the carriage will not move, then it is a carriage stall issue.

Having trouble fitting new ink cartridge

Hi, when an ink cartridge runs low in your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer, you will see a message on the printer's display screen. Faded-looking text or pictures also indicate low ink. Ensure print quality by replacing ink cartridges when they run low.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

* HP #27 or #56 black, #22 color or #58 color photo print cartridge, or compatible equivalent

Turn printer on if it is off. Never attempt to change the ink cartridge if the printer is off. If it is off, it will not properly position or release ink cartridges, and attempting to change the ink cartridges may damage the printer.

Open the print-carriage door, located on the right side of the printer. The print carriage will automatically move into the access area.

Push down on the top edge of the cartridge you are replacing to pop it out of its slot. Remove the print cartridge and discard or recycle.

Pull off the protective tape on the new print cartridge using the pink tab. Do not touch any part of the cartridge except the black plastic. Touching the contacts or ink nozzles under the protective tape can damage the cartridge and result in poor print quality.

Hold the cartridge upright and push gently forward into the empty ink cartridge slot until it clicks.

Close the print-carriage door.

Carriage stall.. clear carriage obstruction and press resume...

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now

If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

How do you replace ink in EPSON TX110? BEWARE SPAM NUMBER +1-800-532-4187 BELOW

The procedure is shown on the panel you can see if you open the cartridge compartment of your TX110. However, it can take some effort to decipher the icons. It is known to work if the ink low light is on, untested otherwise.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the STOP button until the cartridge tray moves out of its bay. It will stop at the ink low notch pointing to the first cartridge out.
  3. Press STOP again. The cartridge tray will move to show you the next cartridge low on ink.
  4. Repeat until you know all cartridges out. After the last cartridge pointed to, the tray will move again and stop in the area where all cartridges can be accessed by hand.
That's it folks!

My Epson SX 100 is low on the three colours but when I open the top to get to the Cartridge Bay, the cartridges are not stopped on the right place for me to change them with new ones. They are stopped on...

Have you pressed the ink button to move the ink carriage to the correct position? Press the ink button to indicate each empty cartridge and then move it into the replacement position.

If it doesnt move you could always turn the printer on and as the carriage moves across pull out the cable or switch off at the wall socket. The carriage can now be pushed into the correct position. Push it back fully to the right before turning back on.

Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Carrier stall.

There could be 4 possibilities.

1. Ink cartridges lids are open which is not allowing cartridges to move freely.
2. Ink cartridges carriage will not move from its original position(left) when front cover is opened
3. Encoder strip is Dirty.
4. Encoder strip is Out of position.

Solution:
1. Open the front cover and check if ink cartridges lids are properly snapped in.

2. Turn the printer off and pull out the power cable from power socket, open the front cover and manually center the ink cartridges carriage.
Clean the metallic rod inside the printer using WD40 or Kleenex from Left corner to right corner properly.

3. Cleaning the encoder strip:
a. printer should be off and disconnected from power.
b. open the front cover.
c. Using a dry, lint free cloth, pinch the encoder strip on the right-hand side of the cartridge carriage and pull your fingers across it toward the right-hand side of the printer and you can move the cartridges carriage to clean the strip completely.
d. Note: The encoder strip is a narrow band of clear plastic and can be difficult to see without direct lighting running parallel to metallic rod.
e. Close the printer and try again to print.

4. Repositioning the Encoder strip.
a. Remove the power cord from the printer.
b. Open the front cover.
c. Gently slide the ink cartridge carrier to the middle of the printer.
d. Gently move the top part of the printer belt to the right.
e. Using an index finger, gently push encoder strip down and then back up, to get it back into the slot located on the back of the ink cartridge carrier.
f. Gently press the strip first to the rear, and then forward, to ensure that it is seated correctly.
g. Manually move the ink cartridge carrier to the left, then to the right, to check the positioning of the encoder strip.
h. Once the encoder strip has been re-seated, close the scanner lid.
i. Re-connect the power cord to the printer and try again to print.
