SOURCE: Fan speed too fast

Is there a light switch control or just straight power to the fan? They do sell "Fan" controll switches just like a regular dimmer, but for a fan. If there is just straight power u would still be able to install a remote that could lessen the speed. Even if it is just pull chains. the remote would have three speeds and if u kept the pull chain on low, maybe the low remote speed could work.

As for freezer, lower the letter and allow 24 hours for temp to adjust. Lower again and wait, until desired temp achieved.

Do the same thing for refrigerator. If freezing not working most efficiently, this can and usually does affect the refrigerator.

Fan runs long after room reaches desired temp. heat goes off and fan continues to blow cold air, have a protech 520 thermostat

Is your 'Heater' you are talking about-- A furnace-- with a burner and a blower?

Either way-- We need to adjust a control that determines WHEN THE FAN RUNS--

Most furnaces have a section where the heated air collects, and there has to be a sensor in that chamber, that senses when that air is warm enough to circulate around--- and when the burner shuts off, the air in that area cools down, and the sensor should shut off the fan-

Can you find the Heated air area?-- and can you find a temperature control in that area?-- Can you adjust the control, so that it shuts off the fan when the air temp drops to 100- to 120 degrees F...

Tell us more about the type of furnace/heater we are workig with, so I can better help you-

I have the Reliance 606 and my water has been extremely hot - do I need to change both of the heating elements in it

Are you aware of how to adjust thermostat(s) on water heater? Be sure to shut off power (circuit breaker(s) to water heater prior. Should be behind covers on tank. Both should have screw in center to allow you to back down temperature. Should have an arrow indicating current temperature setting, simply move it slightly toward lower temperature (usually counterclockwise, but just double check ) and try it, until desired temperature is reached.

OK as long as you used a hair drier, and not a screw driver to defrost this machine, you should be fine, it shoudl take no more then 24-36 hours to regain the correct temp, this being said, not real comfortable with the over the internet diag of a unit that potentially "keeps people alive"

Automatic Temp Control

I believe that is how automatic temp control works once the desired temperature setting is reached it should shut off then maintain this temperature thus kicking on and off. Or is the problem that its not getting to the temperature you are requesting.
