Connect Playstation 2 to computer monitor

My TV is broken but my computer has multi media (including TV) capability. How do I (in simple terms that even a technophobe like me can understand) connect my Playstation 2 to my computer/monitor so I can play my games on it?

Re: Connect Playstation 2 to computer monitor

Try going to your local radioshack and asking for a cable to do it. Tell them it needs to be "double male" infering that the piece sticks into another part instead of bieng stuck into. Then tell them one end needs to be "RCA cables" (the red white and yellow ones) and the other end needs to be a computer moniter cable. There are several types of moniter cables you can use, look in the back of your moniter to see what you have. There should be writing that says any 1 of the following "s video in", "dv in" "video in" etc. ask the radioshack man to get the non RCA side of the cable to have one of these on it. If you need to, it helps to take a picture of the back of the moniter where all the input plugs are, and show it to the radio shack man, he can probably help decide which cable to use. Once you buy the cable, plug the red yellow and white side into the red yellow and white holes respectively on the PS2, and the moniter cable into the moniter. Turn on the moniter and the PS2 and... Voila. PS You may need to take out the cable connecting the moniter to the PC to put in the new radioshck cable. I hope this works for you-BCA

It is sync and i can see the status on the upper left corner of tv but cant get it to function?

Please follow these same steps for your SP3 The AV Multi Out plug that is included with the Wii will allow you to connect the console to most TVs or VRCs. First, look at the back of your television AND your VCR and see if you have colored holes label "Input". Though most TVs have them, almost all VCRs do as well. If you are unable to find a set of yellow, red, and white AV inputs on the back of your TV, try looking on the sides, top, and bottom of the TV. Look for any hidden panels or doors as well. Connecting to a Television Audio/Video (AV) inputs are typically located on the back of the TV, but occassionally are on the sides, top, or bottom. Look for inputs marked Audio and Video IN. Do NOT connect your system to anything marked OUT. Don't see these inputs on your TV? Click here. Insert the AV Multi Out plug on the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console Insert the DC plug on the Wii AC Adapter cord into the DC Input connector on the back of the Wii console. Insert the AC plug into a 120V AC wall outlet CAUTION: To prevent electric shock, match the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot and insert fully into the outlet. Plug the transformer into the wall outlet. The Sensor Bar can be placed either above or below your TV screen. Decide which option best fits you and click the image below for additional set up help, including mounting the Sensor Bar and proper alignment.

I hooked hdmi to tv. i went thru ps3 settings for video n audio n swithch audio to the red n white output. now i have sound thru surround sound but my video is flickering n i cant c so i can undo it

Make sure the Component AV Cable is connected to the AV Multi Out port on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system. Connect the other end of the Component AV Cable into the video and audio RCA jacks of the TV or display monitor.

2. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the ON/OFF button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings.

3. Turn on the PLAYSTATION 3 system and once the system finishes powering up, the Video Output Settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).

How do i get my playstation 3 to connect to my bose 321 system?

Very simple. Red and White RCAs into any available input on the back of the 321. If the PS3 A/V cable can't separate the audio from the video (yellow RCA) by length of cable then get an RCA extension.
You can also connect this digitally with an optical cable (better sound) but you need to assign the optical cable to an input from your system menu. Your system menu can only be displayed on the TV from the video out of the 321. Go to "media center" and then down to "optical source"

Playstation 3 display 1200x720

Are you using an HDMI cable to connect? Or a Component Cable? They are the only cables capable of 1080i or 1080p.

If so, go into your video settings and make sure that you CHECK ALL boxes when it get's to "what resolution is your tv capable of" Check all of them from 480 to 1080.

Hope this helps!

My playstation 3 wont work on my tv

use your own cords but it is broken inside your tv. the ps3 is not the problem its not the cords it is simply the tv were u insert the cord. something may have yanked it out fast and disconnected it. my solution would be to connect it to the back of a dvd player and then put the tv on video mode that is how i play at my dads but at my moms it works fine on some tvs but not on one because my puppy pulled out the cord to hard.
