Question about Honeywell Th5110d1006 Non-programmable Digital Thermostat

Open Question

Honeywell TH5110D1003 not working

The thermostat does not respond to any changes I make to it. I have the cool setting to 78 and the heat setting to 75 and if I leave it on auto it will cool the zone down into the 60s until I go up in the attic and cut off the power to the circuit board. Is this a thermostat issue or do I need to replace my circuit board? If I turn on the heat it seems to respond to that at least the display says so but I can still feel cold air coming out if the vents.....help please

SOURCE: My Honeywell T87F Thermostat doesn't

Remove the thermostat and disconnect the r and y connection. If the A/C continues to run ya got a short in the wiring somewhere. If it shuts down then your tstat is hooped.

What does -AC on honeywell chronotherm III thermostat mean?

AC means "air conditioning." If the AC icon is showing on your thermostat it means that your air conditioning is activated and should come on when the temperature threshold you've set on the thermostat is reached.

For example, if you've set the temperature level to 78 degrees, when the house temperature goes above 78, usually by about two degrees, the air conditioner should cycle on to cool it back down to 78 degrees at which point it will then turn off.

This information should be in your air conditioning/heating system or thermostat owners manual. If you don't have the manual, you should contact your air conditioning dealer or your builder to secure a replacement. The manual is essential for proper operation and maintenance of your system.

FocusPro TH5000 will not cool

Make sure the thermostat is set to "cool" mode. Make sure the thermostat is wired correctly and has fresh batteries in it. Check both the thermostat end and the air handler end of the wires. If All this checks out, the problem is most likely in the air conditioner, not the thermostat.

Assumed all the wiring are correct,

to change from manual switching from heat to cool, press [system] button ( left ) to go into system setting.

then press and hold the [fan] middle button untill option display 120

use up down button to select option 300 ( Manual/Autochangeover) ,

select 0 for manual, 1 for automatic. ( read caution in page 22 of installation manual )

Good luck
