Power cord was run over by a lawn mower for an Intex Filter pump

I accidentally ran over the power cord for my filter pump and cut it in half. I would like to know how to splice them wires back together so that it works again.

I tried to splice the cord back together matching the colors and when it was plugged in it didn't come on. The pump was on when the cord was run over. Is it possible something else could have happened?

SOURCE: Looking for an intex filter pump

The best solution to this problem not to find a replacement intex pump/filter. I suggest getting a system with a 50 square foot cartridge filter and a 3/4 hp pump such as hayward or pentair offers. You will be amazed at the difference a little quality can make.

SOURCE: power cord has been cut

Yes you can replace the entire cord, or you can splice the cord back together. Get some crimp on wire connectors get a tube of heat shrink that will fit over the cord, cut back the insulation crimp, the wires back together (match color to color). heat the shrink or tape it up. Back in business.

Is this 110 volt or 220 volt?

110 = white wire goes to the neutral side of the circuit ... or the silver color screw on the plug. The black wire goes to the brass color screw ... or the "hot" side of the plug. The green wire goes to the green screw.

220 = youwill find on the 220 20 amp plug there are two brass colored screws + a green screw for the ground.

Sounds like you are in need of a carb diaphragm. Also be sure you do not have a vacuum leak on the carb to block connection. You could also have a little water in the fuel. Cheap fix, rubbing alcohol, about a half cup. fill tank with fresh gas and run it through.

Lawn Mower putt putt when filter in place

Your air filter screw may be too long from over tightening air cleaner and crushing the cover. It warpes the carb allowing for gas to leak into carb. Grind or cut off screw alittle or put washer on and don't over tighten. thank you for using fixya.

After about 15 minutes of operation my mower just cuts off as though it ran our of gas but has not. I have replaced the ignition coil, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter. I have a 17.5 hp Craftsman riding...

I have same problem only thing ive found is gas tank may not be venting properly. Fill tank about half full and leave cap off, if still stalls then probably engine problem
