My ematic tablet is cracked and it want let me put in my password cause the crack is on it how do i fix it

hold volume down while you power on the device, and release it when you see the Android guy. *** You have to hold it down while you are powering it up, and don`t let go until you see the Android Guy. *** Then use the volume buttons to highlight factory reset (or something similar) and hit the power button to select it. Make sure you are plugged in while this is going on. Running out of juice during this process can really mess things up. After it is done let it sit, awake, for about 15 min at least while all of the apps reinstall themselves. Let me know if this fixes it for you.

Anything cosmetic is never covered under warrany unless there is a recall from the company and I don't remember hearing any recalls from Acer recently.
Only thing I can suggest is to get a hold of Acer and explain the situation and see if threre was or is a recall on your model.

Removing the CMOS battery will not reset the BIOS password.
It can be removed by shorting pins 3 and 6 of the Eeprom chip and powering the laptop on.
You will need to dissasemble the laptop to do this.
Alternative you can take to a Laptop repair shop and they can remove the password for a modest fee.
