Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Half of these units still in service have the missing knob syndrome. Is there one available or do I have to go to DeadCatDot.com for a weird looking replacement that fits? They make weird sh*t like this if you ask them nicely.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It is not an easy task. First, the crystal needs to be replaced, and possible 6-8 other components that surround the crystal. Then, the rest of the circuitry needs to be retuned for it to operate correctly.
There is a place in Chicago called Delta Audio (773-764-3634) that has the equipment to do this.
