Question about Mitsubishi WD-65738 DLP TV

Computer hooked to TV through stereo

I have everything hooked to my stereo including a computer and then out to the HDMI 1 on the TV. When I try to play a game on the computer I keep getting HDMI 1 and the speaker symbol flashed on the top left of the screen and when it does this it causes my game to minimize? I tried hooking the PC direct to the TV via HDMI 2 and naming the slot PC and it does the same thing, any ideas on how to stop this?

A computer is a versatile gadget its meant to format anything thats comes to its screen this is done by sophisticated drivers that will say 'think ' and place anything in a smart manner this is the way its made so u cant do anything about it unless u have a full screen option, hit full screen to enlarge your picture

SOURCE: Mitsubishi HDMI connection trouble

I have the same issue with my 73". Rather then going over all of my connections and equipment I'll just say htat I feel your frustration. I have been on the phone with Mitsubishi directly and it appears as though they have a free software upgrade that should address this problem. If you call 1-800-332-2119 and press 4 in the menu you will get someone to help you. Be patient. They will make you go through all of the fixes that you have already tried. They will mail you a flash drive that goes right into the front USB port of your TV. I hope this is of help. Good luck.

SOURCE: No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

SOURCE: connect Macbook Pro to Component input

you should be able to use an SVGA to component rca connector on any component input - i have a wd-65513, and thats how I have my pc hooked up to it. I could also never get a clear picture using the SVGA plug on the back of the set.

Mitsubishi rear projection tv, model WS-48311 - Lost audio after moving tv and re-hooking up cables. How do I get it back?

It sounds like this TV is being used only for the PS3. We'll need to troubleshoot this through a process of elimination.

If you're using Component Input 1 and audio, try using Component Input 2 and audio instead. If this set of inputs provides working audio and video - you can stop. Or, try going back to Input 1 once more. If Input 1 now works - you may have simply made a better connection. If it doesn't - then there's probably an issue with input 1 on the TV.

If moving to Input 2 above still didn't solve the problem, you should try using a different set of audio cables between the HDFury and the TV. If it now works, the original audio cables are faulty.

You can check the HDfury setup on another HDTV with component inputs with it connected to an HDMI cable. if the HDFury wors, you know the device and all the cables work. If you do this test and it works with your PS3, then you know that the PS3 is providing good video and audio signals via HDMI. If the problem follows the PS3 - then it's the PS3 at fault. If everything works perfectly on the second TV, then there is some issue with the audio amplifier / inputs / speakers of the Mitsu TV. You could get a cheapo stereo amp and speakers - or a set of computer speakers for audio - it all depends on how much you want to spend for sound.

Good lcuk!

How do I hook my sylvania model number 6432GG TV to my ASUS laptop model #D550MAVD801?

The only inputs tho the TV are cable in and AUDIO / VIDEO in.
You can use 'stereo patch cords', to plug into the tv. Check with your local computer store to see if you can find adapters to plug into the computer and change to RCA jacks.
All of that means, you probably can't.

I have a Philips 47" flat screen it has HDMI

First of all you must check that your laptop supports a protocol called "DHCP" over DVI. Otherwise you are chasing your tail. This information will probably be in the manual or available online. DHCP is a special handshake protocol for HDMI and your television and computer will not talk to eachother without it. If you find it to be compatible you need to lock down which input on the TV it is. Plug something in via HDMI and verify you see it. Then unplug it and plug your computer into this port. You don't want to be flicking through inputs trying to find it. Also, hook up an external monitor to the laptop and figure what needs to be done to display on it. Then try the television. My guess, though, is that you won't find DHCP compatibility if it is an older laptop. My best advice is to buy a Playstation 3 and watch Netflix with that. Otherwise you'll need a different way of hooking up which might include buying an expensive converter box and/or watching poor quality video.
-Good luck

Ok, I need more verifications:
1) Your TV is Fujitsu Siemens PlasmaVision P42VHA40 Monitor which does not have tuner? If not, please provide the make and model of the TV.

2) What kind of cables you are using to hook between the cable box and the TV? HDMI? Component video (Red, Blue, and Green cables withe RCA plugs)? Composite video cable with Yellow RCA plugs?

3) Are you trying to get the sound to come out off the TV speakers or through the stereo system?

I have a macbook and want to hook up to my dynex 24 inch tv. I am successful using (mini dvi to dvi to hdmi) connection to the tv receiving great video. My problem is that I have no been able to get audio...

Your mac would have to have a fully hd compliant mini port. To be honest I havent even checked to see if any do. Then you would want to get a mini video port to HDMI adapter. If you don't have one of the newer Intel mac then chances are you cant do sound through that port, which is what your tv is looking for on the hdmi port.

Easiest solution is to hook your headphone port on your laptop to a stereo or some decent computer speakers, which usually sound better than tv speakers anyway.

I want to hook my vizio tv up to my computer what cords are needed?

Likely standard VGA ... unless you have an HD card in your computer ... I got one for mine in order to play blu ray after I bought a blu ray drive for my computer. In that case I needed an HDMI cable. HDMI passes both the video and the audio, otherwise you need to connect also a stereo audio cable between your sound card output and the tv input, close to the computer VGA connection.

When i hook up my hdmi cable box how do i get my stereo to run sound..? or can i..?

HDMI is audio and Video in the one cable, if your stereo has HDMI in and out you can run it from your box into your stereo then into your TV, but only if everything is supported by your componets, I would suggest, HDMI into your TV, then from your box, stereo or optical into your stereo, by just using RCA cables. ALSO remember with audio compontes, more is MORE, more cable better quality (not length but size)
