DSC LCD5511 System trouble nr. 1

Hello. I have System trouble nr. 1 active and from manual I can read that trouble condition is "Service Required". As it is old system and I don't have any service provider to call, does somebody know what this trouble exactly means or how I remove it?

SOURCE: service message for alarm system

The message is trying telling you that the system has a fault and most likely the control module has disabled the system. After the problem is fixed the message will clear. You can have the system tested by Volvo to see what part of the system has a fault, most likely they will charge about 1 hour labor time.

SOURCE: 939 service system board; what it's mean.

First, make sure the printer power is off and remove the RIP board. When you turn the printer back on, the only option on the display will be to perform the test. Pressing the button next to that begins the test. The page that comes out should have just a lot of lines printed on it. If this does not print or is somehow messed up, then the problem must be with the engine board. If this page prints and looks OK, then it is probably the RIP board that should be replaced. Please keep in mind that this test cannot be considered to be conclusive but it can be used to make an educated guess about which component is failing.

When the printer beeps five times and the operator panel is blank, there are several things that might cause this. It could be the op panel, the op panel cable, the Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS), or the engine board. To find out which component is failing, the printer would need to be checked out by a service technician and the failing component replaced by him/her.

I have trouble beep sound continue indicate 3and 4 how do i fix it thanks

Press # to silence beeps. 3 means there is telephone line monitoring fault and 4 is a failure to communicate. If the alarm is monitored it will not communicate. If alarm is not monitored or connected to a working phone line you will have to enter installer programming to fix.

2.7L V6? automatic tranny?
P1213 , you left off that important P, C, B or U
there is a C1213, so I guess that.

what is the question we have a DTC error.
the operators guide tells you get the car serviced./
so ill assume (unstated) you want to fix it your self? is that it?
DIY,
with no FSM? no factory service manual?

C1213 is 4wd transfer switch probs.

FSM quote. see FSM for details on diagnosis.

DSC LCD5511 System troulbe nr. 1

system trouble can mean that you might have a faulty expander somewhere. an expander is used to extend the zones on your current system. if not you might have a faulty pacife connected to the system go around all the pacifes and check if the red light comes on. if not replace it.

I have a dsc power 832, and have replaced the battery, but i can not get it returned to the ready state as it shows " secure system before arming, and memory says -lid tamper", I have checked the plun

Hello Frank,

Great systems... Updatable, configurable...
even repairable... 832 is a "mature" system...
and the codes you get are not particularly helpful
if you don't have the ALARMS mapped.

There should be a map... (don't worry)
"-Lid" most likely is NOT the device you
are working on... Your ALARM condition
is FIRST on the warning list...

If you were given INSTALL notes with your system
you can use those... (instruction at bottom).

A simple area motion detector might also need a battery...
GLASS BREAK, SMOKE, HEAT, WATER... hard wired window devices...

(I'm guessing)... but FOR A FACT any device could
be mounted several ways... but control boxes
(at least in MY DAY had door & panel "TAMPERS")).

You obviously have a control panel
(you are getting system status "remarks)

It has been a long time since I have been around a DSC 832.
They are quite an excellent... and versatile security platform.

Lots of options and opportunities.

FIRST thing you will want to do is to inventory the system
to determine how many and what you are "monitoring..."

DSC PC5010 V2 0 Important Notice Page 4

Do look at this PDF ... (notice).
There are several manuals available
but before anyone can SERIOUSLY help you...
you need to walk the system and find all your devices.

Hope this helps

Volvo V-70 drivetrain & electronics faults

I suspect you have some loose connections or shorts in the wiring harness. I've had similar strange things happen with an Olds Bravada. Various transmission shifting problems, faults, etc. that all seemed to come from the engine's computer system getting incorrect voltages and readings due to wiring faults/shorts.
