i think that u have to uninstall all of the programs for the device if there are any...
and thn u have to install them again..
it worked for my webcam...
also i think this may happen because you might not safely remove the hardware???...
if so then always remove it safely otherwise the device will mess up.
hope i was of help.

again the same problem, i don't think that the usb ports are the problem. i tested on multiple computers. who can help me please contact at : florin25_hkl@yahoo.com
I think this is a common problem, with this actual usb drive. I have browsed multiple forums, and see a common theme. "It was working, and now when I plug it in, windows (XP) does not recognize it." Consequently, when you peak in the device manager, it shows up. If you try to update the driver, you'll have no luck either.
I've also tried to mount it, in linux, and haven't had any luck either. I think the device is problematic, possibly due to the size, and the file system. However, if someone can figure out why the darned thing is so damned fickle, i'd appreciate it. In the mean time, i'll keep plugging it in, and unplugging it, until it decides to come off my data...
