Toshiba Card Error

When I switch on the camera it says Card error. Irrespective of any card it gives the same message.
But those card can be read using card reader in the PC.
What should be my next action?

WizTry formating the card in the computer.
This can be done with windows explorer, just right click on the drive that the card is in, a menu will pop down and click format, then start.
