Question about Hitachi 43F300 43" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Yellowish color The TV color become yellowish. I know it's not the signal problem because it does so on cable TV or DVD movies. I try to adjust the Video in the setup menu(try brightness, color, tint,...), but it still looks too yellow (brown). I switch the video mode to "cool" (It has 3 options, cool, standard and warm) and the color becomes a little better, but still not normal. Do I need to replace something? Is it worth to fix? Thanks.

Sony xbr 60 grand wega color problem.

It sounds like to me you have a bad Optical Block. It is a expensive repair and you may want to call Sony at 1800-222-SONY and see if the would assist you in repairs. Due to the age of it, they would probably only cover a partial amount of the repair.
Hope this helps,

Adjusting to the proper color

Tint would be the control that will control the color balance, but this sounds like it may be deeper then that. Turn your color all the way down so that you have a black and whit picture. If the picture is still yellow then you have a problem with the blue picture tube.

I pressed A/V Reset by accident!

Good Day Emil;

You did not break the TV it is okay. Try resetting the TV by unplugging it from the wall then back in after 4-5 minutes. If that does not correct your concern go into the menu and adjust device and color setting. Look for set up.

Good Luck, let me know if this was helpful.
