Question about Samsung HP-R5072 50 in. Plasma HDTV
Starting just a few hours ago, our OEM remote and the Time Warner Cable remote seem to cause the same thing: when we press the volume control (either up or down) the power on the TV goes off? Called Samsung and the technicians don't seem to work on Saturdays (but apparently they work on Sundays) so I'll call again tomorrow but was curious if anyone had tried this already. Stats: Samsung HP-T4264 Age: 60 days old Things I've already tried: 1. Unplugged the TV for 60 seconds and then plugged it back in. 2. Replaced batteries in both remotes 3. Re-programmed the universal remote No luck yet. Thoughts?
This unit has upgrades available for this set. I am not at my shop now, but, I think the problem you described is usually cured by this upgrade. The set is under warranty, contact: 1-800-Samsung for a local servicer. If you need additional help, respond to this post and I'll reply.
