I tried to sync/download music license (was getting message "drm license needed"), and it froze, can't turn off. HELP?????

There is a small reset button on the bottom but you need something like a needle to press it. Also , I have found when I open up my go gear from my computer and drag and drop songs and videos it has not had any problems.

Creative Zen X-Fi Problem

for the problem that you have mentioned above, all you have to do is re-synch with napster. You will have to do that every 30days. no biggie. happens every month. once you stop paying for the napster service, you will not be able to listen to any of the music you downloaded from their program

Error Message on Zen Creative VPlus Player...

keeps on saying it has no licenseto play. sync True True (``````````` (``````````` 0 95250 95250 license from pc

Go into your Control Panel and Add and Remove Programs. Make sure Show Updates is checked on top of the Window. Scroll down to the bottom and remove Hotfix for Windows Media Format 11 SDK (KB929399). Restart then resync your music to your player. Unfortunately, Windows continues to reinstall this "fix."
if that doesn't work try this
I reformatted the player, deleted and then re-downloaded the subscription tracks.

Error message: "Cannot play; the license is expired"

I went to and was able to find the solution. If your songs were downloaded from services similar to Napster then you will have to log back into the service to refresh the licenses on the songs. If you no longer are subscribing to the service then you will need to delete the songs from your player. If you need further information you can find it on the Sony website.

No License to Play/ sync license from pc

Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

Sansa e260 won't let me download certain music

If you used Windows Media Player to "rip" (copy) the music to your computer. The default settings are to "copy protect my music" if you didnt change this setting, the Sansa will want a "license" to go with it. Resolution, change the setting in Windows Media Player, Tools>Options>Rip Music (uncheck copy protect my music). You can also change the default rip setting to Mp3, as opposed to Windows Media Audio. Then you would have to re-rip the tracks to your PC, as unprotected. Make sure you delete the old tracks from the device, otherwise, it will always give you that error message. Best of Luck.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription message

I received the same error message. When you download a file from a subscription service, such as an audio book from a public library, you usually have to open the file on your computer first, which I believe, "activates the subscription" with the appropriate license. Some of the services pop up a screen telling you that your license is activated, but others, such as Overdrive, seem to do this automatically. When I downloaded a book and transfered it to a Sansa c240 mp3 player, I received the "synchronize" error message, but when I went through the above procedure and transferred to the mp3 player, no problems, and no error messages.
