I have bought a Tom Tom GPs 930T. Now I found 2 new items that I don't have in my GPS. These are IQ Routes and Advanced Lane Guidance. Can I update them to my GPS and if yes can you explain me how?

I'm a little confused about which unit you have, but the answer is simple enough..... If there isn't a small hole on the bottom of the GPS, then simply hold the on/off button for approximately 15 seconds -- until the unit restarts. The small "hole" that I'm referring to will be in the same vicinity as the connector that the cable plugs into. It should say reset right by it, if the reset button is there. If you do have a reset button on the bottom of the device, you'll need to use something to press the button. A paper clip straightened out a bit works perfectly.
The following lists are from Tom Tom's website. I hope this helps:
I will advice you reset the unit, this might help fix the
abnormality with the white screen problem. follow these procedure to
reset your tom tom gps. Make sure your battery is charged before you
begin. TomTom suggested
allowing your device to charge for at least 2 hours before resetting it.
Remove your device's SD card from the card slot. Find the "Reset"
pinhole button on the bottom of the device. Hold the "Reset" button
down for 10 to 15 seconds or until your device
resets itself. You will need a flattened paperclip or another small
metal object to reach inside the pinhole. Power the TomTom back on
and insert your SD Card. You have now reset
your TomTom gps and this should fix the white screen problem.
NOTE : Some websites hide the content if you came to the from certain websites , so in this case you need to look for the manual by yourself on that website . I just have found it there .
You should first update your version of tom-tom home. (download and save DON'T run it from the web as this has some minor glitches on occasion)
If you are looking to buy new maps then TTH will help you with that.
You didn't say if it was TTH that was not finding maps or your GPS itself when you power it up. This is important information that is needed to help you further.
If you have an SD card then remove that before you power up to see if your tom-tom works OK or not.
After a certain period of time updates can only be bought and not just downloaded
GPS units are rather conservative in their time of travel estimates, allowing for driving equal or less to actual speed limit. This can end up giving you an extra hour or two. Mapquest is the same way if you used it pre-gps. Tom-Tom now has IQ Routes Editions that will analyze actual travel time of routes by you and other drivers, take into account time of day and conditions, and give you more accurate driving times.
in order to get lane guidance you will need to make sure tomtom unit is up to date by checking when connected to computer for updates you will also need a version 8 map that you will need to purchase from tom tom
