I couldn't tell if the water was draining. When you advance the cycle to spin the first thing it should do is drain the water. This will happen for a short time before it spins. If it is not draining then you need to check the drain pump for blockages( and pipes) the machine will not spin with water in it! If it is draining but not spinning then it is probably a faulty lid switch and needs replacing. There are a couple of other causes but they will usually create a fault code which you don't seem to have. Most likely blocked or faulty drain pump.

It appears your heater element or CCU/timer has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

SOURCE: elba ew 6001 spin cycle

Hello,

If your Roper washing machine does not agitate, spin or drain, you have a problem that needs fixing. The average do-it-your self offer can do this job without hiring the professional technician. Each problem indicates a separate repair, but while you have the washer apart, it never hurts to check things while the back is off and the parts are off the washer. Exercise caution and make sure that the washer is unplugged and the water is off before you begin.

Instructions
And Things You'll Need As Step By Step Instruction.

  • Screwdriver,Needle-nosed pliers,Wire,Garden hose,Bucket.
    Washer Won't Drain
  1. Check the drain hose to see if anything is plugging it. Sometimes small pieces of material go out with the wash water and become lodged in the drain hose.
  2. Open the access panel in the back by removing the screws and taking off the back panel. Remove the drain hose. this is usually held on with a clamp, collar or clip.
  3. Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to remove the obstruction. If the material is further into the hose, you can use a sturdy piece of wire with a small hook bent at the end. Stick this into the hose to try to pull the obstruction out. If you still can't reach the obstruction, disconnect the entire hose and force the obstruction out with a water hose using the jet spray.
  4. Washer Won't Spin
  5. Check the pump or pulley if your machine doesn't spin. Sometimes the pump may be frozen or stuck.
  6. Remove the screws from the back access panel of the washer and remove the back panel.
  7. Remove the pump from the washer by unsnapping the retainer from the pump using a screwdriver. Remove the hose clamps and disconnect the two hoses one at a time. Have a bucket handy, because the hoses may have water inside.
  8. Rotate the pulley by hand. If it does not move easily, then you will need to replace this because it is frozen or stiff. Also, check the belts to make sure they have no tears or damage. While the pump is off the machine, continue to the next step to check the motor couplings. When these become bad, the washing machine will not agitate.
  9. Machine Won't Agitate or Spin
  10. Remove the pump and drive motor. You will find two plastic and one rubber motor couplings. One is located on the drive motor and the other is on the gear case with the rubber coupling between them.
  11. Pry or break the old couplings off with your screwdriver. Replace with new couplings. Simply push one onto the shaft of the gear case and press the second one onto the shaft of the drive motor.
  12. Line up the holes of the rubber isolation coupling with the studs in the coupling. Push the rubber isolation coupling in place.
  13. Push the isolation and coupling on the drive motor making sure that the holes line up with the studs on the other coupling on the gear case.
  14. Reinstall the drive motor and then snap the pump in place with the retainers to hold it in place. Reconnect the hoses with the clamps and snap the.Put the washer back on and screw the back in place. Position the washer where you had it before and plug the washer in.

Elba washing machine problem

The error code E13 on an Elba washing machine typically indicates a draining issue. It means that the machine is not able to drain the water properly. There are a few possible reasons for this error:
1. Clogged or blocked drain pump: Check if there are any obstructions, such as lint, debris, or foreign objects, in the drain pump filter or impeller. Clean out any blockages and ensure the pump can rotate freely.
2. Kinked or clogged drain hose: Examine the drain hose connected to the washing machine and make sure it is not twisted, bent, or clogged. Straighten out any kinks and remove any obstructions.
3. Improperly installed drain hose: Verify that the drain hose is installed correctly and is not inserted too far into the standpipe or drain. The hose should have an air gap to prevent siphoning.
4. Faulty drain pump: If the drain pump itself is faulty, it may need to be replaced. If you have checked all the other possible causes and the issue persists, you may need to contact a technician for further assistance.
It's important to note that the specific troubleshooting steps may vary depending on the model and specifications of your Elba washing machine. Consulting the user manual or contacting the manufacturer's customer support can provide more detailed and model-specific information.

My Elba washing machine, when reaches the rinse cycle, water is very loud, never before, but it never stops adding water. Water is draining fine but water does not stop to cycle to rinse.

The water inlet solenoid valve is being held open. Take off the hose and look in the opening to see if you can find anything. Otherwise replace that solenoid valve.

I have a fisher and paykel elba washing machine and the drum is not turning during spin and it is tight and cant be moved by hand either. Water is pumping out fine but it is making a clicking sound when...

Does it pump all the water out and then just do small agitations backwards and forward and never engage into the rinse or spin cycle and never come up with a fault code, if this sounds like your problem then can most probably help as I have to encountered the same problem before and now know how to fix this fault.
