Hi,
I'm trying to add an XP driver for a Ricoh Aficio CL7000 colour laser
printer using iManager, but when I try I get the error
iPrint ZLIB 2 - Unknown error
I thought I could get around the problem by adding it 'from system' but it
doesn't appear in the list.
Anyone have any ideas???
Server is NW6.5 (no SP), iManager is 2.0.1
Thanks,
Iain

Also tried adding it through good ol' nwadmin (as a Win2K driver). When I
try that I get the error:
The specified resource could not be added. The Resource Management Service
may not be enabled on the NDPS Broker.
Message number: 960
For more information, look up the following error code in the online
documentation:
(0x0100000A : 1223)
I've had a look through the printer driver .INF file, and it seems to tally
with the settings for another Ricoh driver. Others are uploading OK.
Cheers,
Iain

The only time I've encountered a ZLIB error when attempting to upload
printer drivers to RMS, it turned out to be a corrupt NDPS installation
and it had to be reinstalled.
Fortunately, in my case, it was a new installation in a non-production
environment. It was no big deal to reinstall.
Is this a problem that just suddenly started? New installation? Any
recent changes?

Hi,
It was just that one driver, on that one PC. Oddly enough though, one of the
things I tried when I was having problems was to try and upload a different
driver - and that worked fine.
I *think* I saw this before (in the dim and distant past), and flushing out
the NDPS\Drvr_tmp cured it.
Cheers,
Iain
