SOURCE: Rice cooker not turning on

Hi,
There is a sensor that regulates how hot the cooker gets and shuts it down to the warm setting when it senses that the heat is too high...meaning that all the water has cooked off....my guess is that the sensor failed and as far as I know it is not replaceable.

Here is a tip that I wrote about rice cookers and the amount of rice and water needed...

I have a breville kinetic blender - not used for a while. Gives a nasty burning smell when used. Anything I can do?

Unless it is food stuck around the blender bottom , you have parts burning up inside. Its not safe to use. Check to make sure it is clean top an bottom if smell returns stop using. Could burn house down.

If it smells like plastic burning. Stop using it immediately. As there could be an electrical short or overheating of the unit. If doesn't smell like plastic burning, you'll need to be more descriptive of what the odor smells like.

Is it possible to get breville rice cooker lid alone? i bought a new breville rice cooker last month, but unfortunately its lid has been broken.

Wow, that is a hard one. I couldn't find anybody that carried Breville Rice Cooker parts, including Breville.

My suggestion...go to their site and send them a message. Ask them to provide the part or someplace local to you to get it. Good Luck.

Here is their link:
