Question about Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine

Display not working-Hard to read

I love my machine, but lately the display has been hard to read. It seems that the display fades as if the contrast was decreased. The problem is intermittent, but sometimes I can not read the display at all. The display itself is an integrated circuit that can be replaced by plugging in a new one. Does anyone know where I can get this part?

Why is my display hard to read on my keurig?

If it's an LCD display, then it's probably got water in it.. Only thing you can do apart from buy a new machine, is try to get it fixed. but would probably cost as much as replacing the whole thing

Keurig B70 problem, display reads not ready

Those brewers use air pressure to move the water around. There are problems with valves that overheat and get stuck. If you want to try and repair it, you need to take it apart.

I have a Gaggia Syncrony Compact Digital, almost 2 years old, recently the digital display has been fading and today once i turn the steamer off, it still steams at a slow pace and evenutally it stoped,...

The steam valve has been leaking on the inside for awhile, the steam condensed on the display board. You will have to replace the steam valve assembly and maybe the display board.

Display on my Titanium just shows a backlight - all wording has disappeared. Can still make coffee, but you are guessing where the machine is or what it wants

Here's for a geek solution... mine did the same and got worse over time until I couldn't see anything.

It seems a resistor driving the display contrast is dead. What I did was remove the display and find a little row of resistors on the back and solder a new one on at the first open slot. A 300 Ohm resistor did it for me: $0.10 at Radioshack.

A schematic of almost the same LCD can be found here.

I should have taken a picture of the exact spot I put the resistor, but I didn't and it's back together now (ready for the next 6,000 coffees!) But once you look on the back of the module, it'll be obvious: there's a row of little resistors in the middle with 2 spots left open. I took the first open slot to solder mine.

I have not seen this particular type of problem but most likely you have a failure of the control/display module. The power module at the bottom of the unit provides power to the control module which I think includes two voltage levels. Assuming that the power module is ok then replacing the control module will fix the problem. You can also replace both the power module and and control module (around $60). The replacement requires taking the unit entirely apart.

Digital clock display read out is EXTREMELY dim even after adjusting brightness and contrast controls

Hello Jinx55,
the problem is the display unit itself or the cable that goes from the display to the electronic (Most likely the dispaly itself).
The display will need to be replaced. You can contact Miele directly at

Trevi digital plus- lcd screen dose not work proply.

Assuming that the integrated circuit that provides the signals for the display is not defective (those circuits are quite reliable), the following may help.  LCD readouts have a very thin conductive film on the rear glass that is often contacted electrically by a silicon strip with fine wires embedded it which are used as connectors to the circuit board. Both sides of this contact strip is sandwiched between the display thin-film contacts and mating contacts on the printed circuit board. This is strictly a pressure-type connector and they are easily misaligned if not rigidly held.
The only way to correct this is to reposition the silicon conductor strip, possibly multiple times, to try to get all segments of the display working.
An instrument technician is probably the best choice to do this kind of work but the labor may be costly.
