Pcg 61213w

if the sony laptop already has an OS on it or a newer version of windows than XP, you have to uninstall the current OS on the sony vaio. also, that means reformatting the Hard Drive on the sony which actually wipes it clean. Before you do that, you should have the original disk of the sony pc drivers installation or you need to go to the product(sony vaio) web site so you can download those drivers for (PCG-61213W) to disk or flash drive. after wiping Hard drive, you can install the XP, then the drivers that you downloaded. However, viaos are strange pc's so i would ask Sony if this XP install will be compatible with the Sony pc hardware components first. good luck.

Canon imageclass d880 info

What OS is the Vaio running? Canon has drivers for the 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. The Windows 7 driver may work with Windows 8 32-bit in the compatibility mode. However, most computers with Vista and later versions of Windows have the 64-bit OS; the exception are some machines that came with 2 GB or less of memory when new. Canon did not create a 64-bit driver for the imageCLASS D880. To check your OS version, go to the System Control Panel. (XP, Vista and Windows 7: Start > Control Panel (in the right hand column) > System and Security > System. In Windows 8: press the Windows key + X and do the same steps.) Then read the version information, if x64 is included then the 32-bit drivers won't work.

If you do have the correct driver installed for your OS, try swapping your data cable and changing the USB port, if in use. Do not use a USB hub but a direct connection to the computer. Check the device manager to make sure that there are no problems with the hardware drivers. (As above, go to the control panel. Then either in Hardware or System and Security choose the Device Manager. From the Windows key+X, just choose the Device Manager.) Expand the section for the type of port you are using and look for a triangle with a red X or yellow exclamation point. Try updating or uninstalling the driver and then letting the correct driver load when you reboot the computer. (Check with Sony for the driver.)

Next try uninstalling the printer and removing the data cable from your computer. Then install the driver from http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/office/imageclass_copiers/imageclass_d880/imageclass_d880#DriversAndSoftware . Then connect the printer to the computer when prompted to do so. Failure to install the Canon software first can interfere with the installation of the correct driver.

I hope this helps.

My problem is the graphics and pci, i need a driver, i reformat today and now i noticed that the cd driver was lost, my mother board is ASUS P5SD2-VM. pls help me.tanx

You can see all the list of drivers found for this Motherboard by clicking here.

You would need to select the appropriate OS (Operating System) first before it can give you the list of drivers that you need to download. (Example: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7)

If you have Windows 7, please download the video driver for Windows Vista.

If you are having trouble with the Global(DLM) link choose instead the Global or China links.

Hope this helps!

HOW TO INSTALL XP ON WINDOW VISTA IN SONY VAIO

If the VAIO has a "designed for Microsoft Vista" sticker, then it's very-likely that you won't be satisfied by running Windows XP --- you'll be missing the device-drivers for your specific hardware (network adapter, sound-card, video-card).

Stick with Vista, or upgrade to Windows 7.

In that case, put your Windows XP disk in the drive and boot up. During boot up press F2 and set the boot sequence to CD. Windows will install XPon your hard drive. Follow the promps and after the istallation is finished, download and install SP3.

It is possible to downgrade my OS vista to XP

First and foremost before you do, you need to check to see if drivers are available for your computer for windows xp. Or, if you are more adventurous, find the .inf files that go with your current drivers, find the hardware ID"s in them and then install drivers either directly from manufacturer of component, or download XP drivers from other models with same hardware ID's. It is possible, just make sure you do your research for the drivers first.

A quick search indicates that it has been done, but the HD audio is a bit tricky. Good luck!

Oh, and one more thing, please take a moment to rate this solution with a fixya rating. Thanks! :c)

Windows XP drivers for Sony VAIO Laptop

There is no easy answer for this type of question, unfortunately. The best I can do is offer some advice. While installing XP is always possible, and most of the time preferred by the user, not all of the hardware will work every time with every computer. That's just a disclaimer. I think this thread may be useful to you: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=128804
