The following may help:
- Ensure that your Music files are of the correct format (usually .MP3 or .WMA suffix and usually NOT .WAV which is the standard CD format).
- Ensure that you upload your music .MP3 or .WMA files to the correct directory and names are not excessively long as some MP3 will limit the max name length. If you know a working song on your MP3, locate the directory it resides in and put your songs there.
- Lastly, if you have put your song with the correct naming convention/suffix and you now see them in your player list but they will not play, then your MP3/WMA file has non-compatible 'property' whcih is usually the encoding 'bit rate' (usually anything under 128mbps fix rate is good but you can see what is acceptable by looking at the 'properties' of your working songs that are on your MP3 player)
Use this program. Make sure you have the updated codecs on your computer, and convert AVI files to AMV, then move them to anywhere on your player. I use a movie folder, and rename them to the movie I want. A full 1.5 hour movie will take about 200-300 mb of space.
Please keep in mind that the movie does have to have an AMV extension, not MP4 or MPEG.

I have a GC-920 (I think. It doesn't actually HAVE the model number on it.) that I got for Xmas 2008. After reading the rather sparse manual, I decided to bypass the included mini-disk altogether, and just see if plugging it into a PC would let me access it as a removable drive. It does. So to get music onto it, I can just copy the files over from my hard drive to the Music folder on the internal 2 GB memory of the GC-920. I have the music in folders by group names, and some of those have individual subfolders by album name. It all works just like In Windows XP Explorer on the PC. When one album plays out, the player will move to the next album by that group (or performer) and play it. when it has played all the albumes, it climbs back up the folder tree and gets the next group's music. However, this is where MY problems began. :-(
Things worked fine for about 3 weeks. But then the player started "missing" songs in the files. When I investigated, they all seem to be there on the player, and in the proper order. Some are even named with numbers preceding the tune, as ripped by Nero. But the PLAYER is arbitrarily sorting the songs and ignoring the numbers. I tried deleting the whole folder, and then re-copying the songs back onto the player. But it will put them in random sequence like "17,18, 19, 20, 1,2,3,4,5".
If anyone has a fix for THAT I'd like to know. I can't find anything on the player itself mentioning "play lists" or such. So I am going to try installing the CD and see if that helps.
to solve this issue, load disc player into your drive. when it brings on the files down load english verson and repair version. Once you have done this go to your start menu and hit computer,go to E-drive. You will have to downsize your e-drive to fit on the same page, go back into the start menu to your my music files and downsize that window so both pages are next to one another. Make sure that your player is connected then drag the song you want on the player into the E-drive address bar. BUT YOU CAN ONLY LOAD FILES THAT SAY MP3. WMA FILE WILL NOT PLAY ON THIS PLAYER.
I HAD TO STAY ON ON THE PHONE FOR 2 HOURS JUST TO GET A 2 MINUTE ANSWER BECAUSE ELEMENT INSTRUCTIONS AND COSTUMER SERVICE IS SO POOR.
