Maytag Gemini, double oven electric. Replaced bottom element, replaced thermal sensor and tested power. It still won't heat up. WHY?

There are several potential reasons why your Maytag Gemini double oven electric range is still not heating up after replacing the bottom element and thermal sensor and testing the power. Some possibilities include:
  1. The wiring or control board may be faulty and preventing the oven from heating up.
  2. The upper heating element or broil element may also be faulty and need to be replaced.
  3. The oven may not be calibrated properly, which could cause it to not heat up correctly.
  4. There may be a problem with the oven's door latch or switch, which could prevent it from heating up.

Roper oven model FEP310GW0. Oven will not heat

If your Roper oven is not heating, there are several possible causes. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure the oven is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If the oven is getting power but still not heating, move on to the next step.
  2. Check the heating element: The most common cause of an oven not heating is a faulty heating element. You can test the element with a multimeter to see if it's working properly. If the element is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  3. Check the temperature sensor: Another possible cause of an oven not heating is a faulty temperature sensor. This sensor regulates the oven temperature, so if it's not working properly, the oven won't heat up. You can test the sensor with a multimeter to see if it's working properly. If the sensor is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  4. Check the oven control board: The oven control board regulates the oven temperature and controls the heating elements. If the control board is faulty, the oven won't heat up. You can test the control board with a multimeter to see if it's working properly. If the control board is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
  5. Check the oven thermostat: The oven thermostat regulates the temperature in the oven. If it's not working properly, the oven won't heat up. You can test the thermostat with a multimeter to see if it's working properly. If the thermostat is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
If you're not comfortable troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's best to call a professional appliance repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

Oven won't heat, all burners work

I suggest that you remove the upper and lower heating elements to the oven, turn the oven switch to on, then use a good digital voltmeter, and check the plug that the lower heating element was in. If you have good (200 volts or more) then purchase and install new heating elements. Turn the oven switch to Broil setting and check the same way for the top heating element.

I have a ZDF20X double oven and the main bottom oven is not heating, The fan and light are working but it is not heating. HOw do I repair this - is it an element and how do i replace ? Thanks v much.

Most likely it is a faulty oven heating element.

You will need to replace the element.

Usually the element is a circular shape which is situated near the fan, normally you will need to remove the back of the oven, Switch off the power at the wall first, locate the element and remove the fixing screws and electrical connections then fit the new element and reconnect.

Only attempt this replacement if you are confident to do so and have a basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.

The oven does'nt seem to be able to heat up above 150, the fan is working, the bottem half of the oven does'nt seem to heating up. Is this fixable or do i need a new oven?

Hi.

If the part that is not heating is only the bottom element, and the top element is heating regularly, then you may need to replace the lower element.
Before replacement the element can be tested removing it from the cavity and reading Ohms at the element terminals, with a multimeter set at Rx1. Disconnect power before removing the element.

If both baking and broiling element do not heath above a certain temperature instead, then the part to be replaced is the temperature probe, still located inside the oven cavity.

Regards.

Had the element replaced at the back of the fan, but there is still no heat? Is there another element that may need replacing?

No there should only be one heating element but the oven thermostat could also require replacement as this contols the element in the same circuit .

Burners are working oven is not working ?

The heating element may be burnt out, you will need to replace this element if it does not heat up when the oven is turned on, try turning the oven to broil if the top element heat up then indeed it is the bottom element and need replacing.

It would appear that the main oven element is not working. I had a power cut whilst using the oven recently and have only just realised that the oven will not heat up. Everything else is working ok. If it...

If it is a fan forced oven, the element is round in shape and goes around the fan blade on the back wall of oven.
To replace: Turn off power!!
-Remove side racks from oven, then remove rear panel.
-You should now see fan blade and fan element.
-You need to remove oven from cavity, then remove rear outer panel.
-You can now access element- it will be held in place by 2 small nuts either side of element wiring connections. Disconnect element wires, unscrew nuts. Element is now removed!
Reverse procedure to reassemble and test. If oven is heating OK, also check main oven thermostat is regulating temperature (ie clicks on and off), as sometimes thermostat can fail if element has blown
