Yea, it can. Mine is broken too. I flick it while I'm driving when I'm not using cruise and one day I flicked it and the back came off. Lol. But yea, it can be replaced. Most Toyotas and Scions come with that same cruise switch so it's very easy to find. I found one on e-bay for eleven dollars.

2010 dodge caravan Cruise control lever got knocked out of socket Put it back in socket. Cruise lite comes on dash but cruise wont set now on vehicle

You probably don't still have the vehicle but for anyone else....that physical snap in point unfortunately has nothing to do with the wires. This happened to mine as my wife thought it was the tilt lever and literally pulled it right out. The wires in the cruise switch lever are broken. It's an easy fix. You have to buy a new switch on amazon or the like, and replace it. You undo 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel and remove the airbag/horn pad. This exposes the inside of the wheel where you can easily see the inner end of that switch, how it's plugged in and the screws that hold it in place I forget exactly but maybe the trim piece on the front of the wheel also has to come off. I think it snaps on but don't quote me. very easy job.b3bc9085-864f-499f-874c-c352dd99aaa7.jpg

How do i set the cruise control on my 1994 mercedes c220 elegance automatic

Cruise Control
Any given speed above approximately 22 mph (35 km/h) can be maintained with the cruise control by operating the lever.
-see photo

  1. Accelerate and set: Lift lever briefly to set speed. Hold lever up to accelerate.
  2. Decelerate and set:
Depress lever briefly to set speed. Hold lever down to decelerate.
Normally the vehicle is accelerated to the desired speed with the accelerator. Speed is set by briefly pushing
the lever to position 1 or 2. The accelerator can be released. The speed can be increased (e.g. for passing)
by using the accelerator. As soon as the accelerator is released, the previously set speed will be resumed automatically. If a set speed is to be increased or decreased slightly, e.g. to adapt to the traffic flow, hold lever in position 1 or 2 until the desired speed is reached, or briefly tip the control lever in the appropriate direction for increases or decreases in 0.6 mph (1 km/h) increments. When the lever is released, the newly set speed remains.
  3. Canceling
To cancel the cruise control, briefly push lever to position 3.
When you step on the brake or the vehicle speed drops below approx. 22 rnph (35 km/h), for example when driving upgrade, the cruise control will be canceled.
4. Resume
If the lever is briefly pushed to position 4 when driving at a speed exceeding approx. 22 mph (35 km/h), the vehicle resumes the speed which was set prior to the cancellation of the cruise control. The last memorized speed is canceled when the key in the steering lock is turned to position 1 or 0.
Note:
If the engine does not brake the vehicle sufficiently while driving on a downgrade, the speed you set on the cruise control may be exceeded and you may have to step on the brake pedal to slow down.
As soon as the grade eases, the cruise controlled speed will again be maintained as long as the brakes were not previously applied, or the lever may be used to resume the previously set speed if the brakes were applied.

Wipers not working

Could be a relay. Look at your wiring diagram. Swap relay with one of the same number, see if it cures the problem.

Cruise control wont work on 1994 suburban

You can check for broken wires on your turn signal lever where it goes into the steering wheel column or the cruise control module on the firewall on the drivers side under the hood has gone bad.It is an easy replacement and you can pick up a used one fairly cheap. Also the turn signal lever is fairly cheap at Autozone.

Replaced broken multi function lever. Can't find where to plug the cruise control wire into

There are 2 versions of each (car and multi lever): with and without the cruise control. Are you sure you got the correct lever for your car? Because the connectors are individually shaped, they cannot be inserted in the wrong place or in the wrong way.

When I try to set the cruise control, the speed does not "hold."

if the cruise control is on a lever off the side of the steering column it is most probably the lever assembly that is the problem, I had the same problem on my car only a month ago and I replaced the whole switch lever and my cruise control works fine now

How to replace cruise control switches on 98 . ford explorer.

More likley you want to have the transducer or the electronic equivalent checked first. The actual lever and controls rarely malfunction. However if someone has indeed pulled the lever out, it should snap back into place with a slight inward push towards the steering column. Best of luck, Dana
