I can't get my tv to stay on

I have a hd tv (model#) ltv-27W-2 when turn it on it will come on for a secone and the screen will be black then it will turn off but the blue ligth on the front will still be on what can I do to fix it

- I try to press all of the buttins on the side of the tv when I turn it on but I can't get a display up at all (the tv screen look like it is off but the blue ligth is on !)what I think but do not know is when I turn on the tv it see a problem in the screen and turn off like a raido would do if it has to much power to the speekers

What input mode do you have the tv on? If your cables are connected to the HDMI port and your watching what is hooked up to the TV port (which is nothing) it will not display anything. press input and select each one and see what happens.
