Installation issues I purchased this printer for work and had some issues installing it...the installation wizard recognized it and started installation, but then the new hardware wizard saw it too and started to install it as well. One wizard told me installation was successful, but the other one indicated otherwise. I can print to it, but no matter what setting I have it at it still does not kick out anything at 36/ppm (like it's supposed to). The items I am trying to print are all black, so there is no color to slow it down. Thankfully I have the weekend to recover from the frustration, but I would like to be able to get it up and running when I go back to work on Monday. Thanks in advance!

Hi, On the driver installation, you may want to try: 1. Boot your PC without the printer connected; 2. go to Start, Printers & Faxes; 3. Uninstall all instances of your printer (might be 2); 4.Shutdown; 5. Connect your printer and power up the printer and the PC; 6. Allow Windows to autodetect and auto-install. On the number of pager per minute printing, 36 ppm black, 27 ppm color are only possible in Fast Draft mode according to HP printer Data sheet. Hope this be of some help/idea. 1st You download Webcam Driver.

After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.

USB Printer does not recognize with XP Computer

In most cases, the driver for a printer is supplied when you purchase it. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide the driver along with the device to make sure the working.

However, most of the Operating Systems come with native driver support for many known printers. This is the fact we have to take care while purchasing a printer. Even though we misplaced the driver disc, if we purchase a good manufacturer printer, there is a chance to get the native support from Operating System itself.


There are some scenarios where printer may not be recognized by the Operating System due to some conflict with other devices.


Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
  • Ensure that the supplied USB cable is firmly connected to both the printer and computer side.

  • Ensure that the USB driver for the printer has been properly installed. Please follow the steps to ensure that:
  1. Turn ON the computer and then printer.
  2. The Add New Hardware Wizard window will appear on the Computer screen.
  3. Click the Next button
  4. Insert the installation CD in to the CD/DVD drive on the Computer.
  5. In the Add New Hardware Wizard window, click to select the CD-ROM drive.
  6. Click the Next button.
  7. In the Finish Setup dialog box, click the Finish button.
  • If the USB driver for the Printer has already been installed, uninstall and then reinstall the driver.
Follow this procedure to reinstall the device driver using the Device Manager utility.


IMPORTANT: This procedure must be performed while logged in as Administrator or to an account with Administrator rights.
  1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel window, under Pick a category , double-click the Performance and Maintenance icon.
  3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, under or pick a Control Panel icon, double-click the System icon.
  4. In the System Properties window, click the Hardware tab.
  5. On the Hardware tab, in the Device Manager box, click the Device Manager button.
  6. In the Device Manager window, double-click the category icon of the device to be removed.

you can also replace your USB connector for your printer if the computer cannot detect your printer..

Lost installation CD

You can download the drivers from the Manufacturer Web Site. -www.epson.com

Go to the Manufacturer Web Site ie: and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software, then restart your computer.

The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

I purchased a lexmark 1185 and do not have disk

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

Lexmark X2500 All In One did not come with an installation CD. The only thing the printer will do is print. How can I purchase a CD for installation?

Hi,

The issue you have posted does require some more information to isolate the issue and fix it, information like was the printer working fine earlier and was it installed on the same computer that you are installing it now, did you up-grade your systems operating system, what is the operating system that is installed on your computer and so on, however let me give you few steps that could fix the issue with the best of my expertise’s according to the error message that you have posted. I would appreciate if you could perform them to fix the issue.
  1. Disconnect the printer for the system tower.
  2. Click on start point to control panel and click on it.
  3. Click on Add/Remove software icon.
  4. Locate the printer All In software in the list of soft wares’ displayed and click on it and then click on remove.
Alternately you can also uninstall the printer using the Printer All in disk installation wizard.
  1. Close the Add/Remove window and in then locate the System icon in the control panel and click on it.
  2. Select the hardware option at the top
  3. Click on device manage.
  4. Locate other the option devices if present and check if there is a yellow ! mark. Right click on the other devices with the yellow ! mark and left click on uninstall.
  5. Close all the windows and then insert the Printer All in one disk in the Disk drive (CD/DVD ROM).
  6. Once the installation wizard is up click on install and follows the onscreen instructions.

Note: Please do not connect your printer to the system tower until the installation wizard prompts you to do so.

11. After the installation is finished restart the computer.
