Did you want to put more pictures on top of what you have now? Or wipe the whole card?
If you want more pics on the card itself on top of what you have. Your either going to have to make space by deleting some or reducing their quality and or size.
To wipe the card.. just delete it all. Or format it through "My Computer" however you may need it to be in a certain format such as FAT32. So if you dont know anything about this just delete the contents on the card without formating.

I inserted memory card with pictures on it, cant take but 2 pictures and it says its full.

You need to clear your memory card by either transferring the photos to your computer or by formatting the memory card. If you've already downloaded the photos but failed to erase them from the card, formatting will take care of that.

How do I clear the memory in my M447 camera and/or upload the pictures on my computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

After downloading your pictures, put the memory card back into the camera and format it. This will clear the card and prepare it for further use. FixYa is full of people asking how to retrieve pictures from cards that haven't been formatted recently.

If you reied formating these cards in your computer and it did not removed the photos, then format these cards using the Nikon camera.
When I format my compact memory card in my Nikon it erases all the photos at once.

What make and model camera? On most cameras you unprotect a picture the same way you protected it, possibly by pushing a "protect" button. No matter what, you can clear everything off the card by formatting it. Cards should be formatted each time after you download pictures to a computer instead of deleting individual pictures. FixYa is full of people asking how to salvage pictures from cards they didn't format.

I have lost the CD which came with my camera and can't download the pictures to my camera. Is there somewhere online which has this CD that I can download?

Try connecting to your pc with USB. Most computers/operating systems will detect it.

The other option is to use an external flash card reader. Remove the flash card from the camera - plug into the flash card reader (which should already be attached to your pc with a USB cable) and you should be able to download the pictures.

Downloading photos message says format this memory card. Will that erase the photos on the card?

Hi,

Yes, If you are getting the message then it will erase everything you have stored/saved on the memory card.

There are few possible reasons for this message.
1. Your memory card is full and does not has enough space to store new photos.
2. Your memory card is not fully detected or recognized hence it is asking you to format the card before downloading

There is simple solution to diagnose and find out the problem for both the reasons.

Click Start
Click on My Computer ( or Computer )
You should be able to find the Memory card drive and you should be able to open it
If you are not able to open and view the contents then your PC has not completely recognised the card.
If you are able to view the contents, your memory card is full and does not has space for more photos to store.

Hope this is helpful

Full Memory

I had the exact problem and it took me a couple of months to figure it out, hopefully it works for you. Main Menu - Mobile Internet - Browser Setup - Clear Cache AND Clear Cookies AND Clear History THEN Store File Downloads option to Removable Memory Card. Do all this if you have already freed most if not all of the phones internal memory. Good luck!

Memory card

As long as there is space on your memory card you can continue to take pictures. But once your card is full you need to download them onto your computer and clear your memory card so that you have room for more photos.
