I have a Samsung HLS5086W wide screen tv that I have had for about 8 months. The other day, while watching a show, the tv turned off. Two lights came on (one red, one green). I have to wait about 5 minutes to turn back on and after about an hour or so it will turn off again. What is the problem?
I have a Samsung DLP 61". The TV continued to turn off with no indications from the panel. I did some tests and determined the TV was not getting enough air circulation due to its poor fan inside. I installed a 110v computer fan on the outside of the vents on the rear of the TV to **** the heat out. Worked great and I have never had a problem since. Need further help or pictures let me know

I am not in my shop, so, I cannot look at the schematic. The only problem I have seen with two lights blinking with this set is an intermitent thermal fuse above the lamp. Sometimes the lamp door switch is in the up position and it needs to be down (This normally occurs when the lamp door has been opened and it also comes from the factory in the wrong position. The t.v. intermittently shuts off. It doesn't happen all of the time or every night just every now and then. The stand-by temp light is lit when it shuts off. The t.v. comes back on when I turn it on. Sometimes I also need to reset my cable box.
I have had my Samsung for about 18 months and it has been great, until it started turning off by itself regularly. Very annoying, please help.
my 46 dlp turned off by its self. I unpluged it, let set for a while, then it ran fine for about 30 min. then shut off again. repetted several times. there were 3 flashing lights. then i replaced the lamp. and now the same thing is happening again.
My Samsung 50" HLS5086W wide screen tv keeps shutting off.... problem, and notify you when a new solution is offered.
