Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Wireless headset Since getting the console back in late June, we have gone through like 4 wireless headsets. They keep failing (dead). We try and plug them in to restore them, but no such luck. Any ideas? Thanks, Cadman

Re: Wireless headset

Do you mean the console will not sync with the wireless headsets? if so, on the console is a lil white button near the memory card insert points, and there is also one of those lil white button things on the wireless headsets. On the headset, it is near the end that is closest to your mouth. Press and hold both of them for a few seconds (like 3s) and i usually point my wireless headset towards the console and wait for them both to flash the player "1" lights on the console and headset.

On my XBOX 360 I am getting a crackling noise in my headphones when I have my microphone plugged into the wireless controller. I have tried two other known good controllers and the problem is still p

This sounds like it is probably an issue with your wireless controller. If there is any way for you to safely blow into the tiny hole that you plug your headset into in an attempt to clear any dust or debris from that area it would be in your best interest.

If not, try a third headset-- the same issue means either play without a headset or purchase a new controller.

Hope this was helpful!

My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

How do you pair wireless headset with ps3?

On the PS3, navigate to Accessory Settings > Manage Bluetooth Devices. At the bottom, you'll then select Register New Device. Then place your bluetooth headset in pairing mode, usually by holding the power button until the LED blinks rapidly. Back on the PS3, then select Start Scanning and select your device. The PIN for all headsets by default is 0000.

Xbox 360 headset

is it the wireless headset or the wired one? if its the wired one make sure it isnt muted and all of that. if it isnt then go to the xbox 360 dashboard and go to the far right into system settings then click parental controls and see if voice chat is restriced and change settings in accordance with your problem. if you have the wireless headset hold down the little button by the 1234 lights until they all staryt blinking in order then hold the same button on your 360 console until the lights begin to spin. after that they should link up and work. If you made your account a child account then its more then likely your parentla controls blocking your communications.
