Whats wrong with phone when cant hear it ringing person and cant hear them but they can hear me

can you hear them when you have it set to speaker phone? the music part plays through a speaker and the phone uses the ear piece to make sounds, your earpiece is bad, they sell them on ebay for $10.00 must be very common problem.

I plugged the speackers in and its turned on but i still cant hear anything

make sure your sound driver is installed and working, if not go to a search engine and type in the name of your sound card and then the word driver (ex Sound Blaster driver)

The speakers no longer work. They were working 2

selectbanker, As a test only try this. Remove green plug from rear of pc. Find old am/fm stereo transistor radio or even a portable cd player and connect the green plug to your "new" audio source. Can you hear anything coming out of the monitor's speakers? Also try a set of stereo headphones in the green audio "out" jack to see if sound is coming out of the pc. Narrow down where loss of signal occurs first. 12fixlouie

Try installing and configuring a media player such as windows media player. If you already have a media player install, check the configuration and file extensions.

Cant hear songs

It sounds like your headphone/hold cable is faulty. Try plugging it into a sound device with a docking bay. If no sound comes out of there either then it's a faulty logic board.
