No Water entering machine

I have been thinking about why the machine isn't getting any water.
I've cleaned it all out and rememebered that the last time it was used it leaked water onto the kitchen floor as one of the kids put dishwashing liquid in there.

Could it be that the washer has an automatic switch off button in the event of flooding or overflow.
f so where would i locate this switch to re-activate.
