Warming up problem

The words "warming up" on display, it can't reach the ready temperature. I pushed the reset button in the back. it worked for several times for short periods of time but then the problem returns. when I pushed the reset button in the back of the unit, the unit was fine. but only for short period of time. I changed the circuit breaker because at one time the breaker was tripped. the unit still heats food up but slow coz it cannot reach its full temperature so I get a "warming up" "please wait"

When I turn on the toaster oven it never warms up to temperature. I tried the reset button but it would not reset. Its almost like the reset button is broke.

This has nothing to do with the element. This oven should only be serviced by a qualified technician. If you were one, you would already know the solution. You need to go into diagnostic mode to determine if it is the solid state relay or the cc thermocouple. After resetting the hi-limit more than once, it will also need to be replaced.

Sounds like your element is burned out or wore. The bake element is the black, pencil thick tube at the bottom of the oven the one on top is the broil element. you should also check the thermostat sensing bulb. It could be loose or faulty . this will cause the inconsisent temperature.. let me know.

How do I find out why me my whirlpool electric range displays the message Lo when I touch the oven button, trying to start the oven.

I think that is not a defect. I believe this is ("LO") a view lowest set temperature to keep food warm until it is ready to serve, as you can see in the table below.

Why is the oven bell not ringing when it reaches the set temperature.

If the temperature reached at it operating temperature and oven display doesn't showing how much time left for ready screen then most probably its IO board gone.
I have seen many cases like this, and replacing IO Board fixed the problem.

Hi Guys,

What model have you got? I have one that I have owned for well over a year now with absolutely no problems. In fact I would have to say for the $119 I paid for it, it has been the bargain of the century so far.

My model is CAS048 and to preheat it is very simple. You set the press the convection oven button to set the temp you want (i.e 180 deg) and push start. The oven will operate until it has warmed up at which time it will beep 3 times. Open the door and put your food in and set the time you wish it to cook and you are away!

P.S, mine will shut off automatically after a few minutes of reaching it's set temperature if I don't open the door and set the timer on it, so it pays to have your food ready or close to ready when you set it to preheat as it warms up quite fast.

My power went off today and when it came back on, my Kenmore oven shows error code "PF 5 AB". None of the buttons work that I press. Burners turn on, but can't turn on oven. Suggestions?

Could that be PF power failure 5AB in the Sabbath mode. That's a new one.
Your model number is useless. Sears has a big 3 digit product code followed by 8 digits.
But let me dig up my 5AB notes:

Here is what I have:

To
provide sabbath feature (or to cancel this setting):
1. Push the PREHEAT pad and set the oven
temperature to 500°F/260°C or more using the UP
ARROW pad.
2. Push the PREHEAT pad within the next 2 seconds
for 3-4 seconds. A beep sounds and a number
appears in red to the right of the display. For the
conversion, "3" must be displayed. If another number
is displayed, push the PREHEAT pad and select
"3".
3. Push the UP or DOWN ARROW pad to change
from 12 hour to 9999 in the display, for no 12 hour
shut-off.
4. Push the CANCEL pad to confirm your choice.

Other Displays:
When proceeding through steps 1 and 2 in the
Temperature Scale Conversion or in the elimination
of the Sabbath feature /12-hour Shut-off time limit,
two other words can be seen in the display. One is ESC
with O in red. It cannot be changed. The other is USE or
SALE with 3 in red. This one is for factory use and should
stay on USE.
Hope this helps

That is the sabbath feature, to get it or defeat it:

1. Push the PREHEAT pad and set the oven
temperature to 500°F/260°C or more using the UP
ARROW pad.
2. Push the PREHEAT pad within the next 2 seconds
for 3-4 seconds. A beep sounds and a number

Resetting the clock

Hello,

You can set the timer on a single oven slow cooker to automatically switch to a warming setting when you estimate foods will finish cooking. The programmable features allow you to leave food stewing at home while you are out of the house, freeing up your day. Set the timer on a Corningware slow cooker to let the kitchen appliance do all the work, and come home to a fully cooked meal.

INSTRUCTION BELOW.

  • Fill the insert of the single oven slow cooker with food and cover it with the lid. At least a quarter of the insert should be filled with liquid to keep the environment moist during long cooking times.
  • 2 Press the "On/Off" button on the left side of the electronic control panel in the front of the appliance. This will turn on the slow cooker to the low heat "Warm" setting.
  • 3 Press the "Cook Time" button on the right side of the electronic control panel to add hours to the timer which will show a total time in hours with a red digital display. Continue to press the button until the display indicates the desired cook time in one-hour increments up to 10 hours. The cooker will automatically adjust the temperature setting based on the amount of time you programmed on the timer. Cooking times of six hours or less automatically start on "High" heat and times of seven hours or more will start on "Low" heat. A small indicator light will come on below the word to tell you the cooking temperature.

  • Please rate this solution after use.

Thank you and thanks for using fixya.
