completely remove the paper cassette and look for A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER stuck inside the machine in the paper path. Also use a flashlight to check for tiny bits of paper in the exit section of the machine where the fuser (hot) rollers are.
Some printers won't reset the jam condition until you open a specific door or cover -- even if you've gotten the jam out, they think it's still there until you open that cover. Try opening and closing all of the machines doors and access points, and even pull out the paper tray and push it back in.
If the jam condition still isn't cleared, turn the machine off and back on with the main power switch.
Make sure you have opened all doors and pulled out all paper trays. After turning the copier on and off if jam light stays lite then you will most likely have a sensor problem (fell out or broken)
there is a actuator switch near in the by pass unit, try to push that actuator or check the switch if there is a contact?if still not try to check the fuse at the back of the machine
make sure that there is no sensor out of place or there maybe a small piece of paper blocking one of them.
open the machine and check along the paper path
