If the machine goes straight into jam code once switched on, its usually a good sign a sensor has broken or it has fallen out.

Hi there, I was using the copier and a piece of paper got stuck. I cleared the paper, but the paper jam light will not go out.

Where you duplexing or making 2 sided copies? If so, there is probably another piece of paper in there.

My PC 745 comes up with an error code of a paper jam but I cannot find any jammed paper. Any suggestions.

completely remove the paper cassette and look for A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER stuck inside the machine in the paper path. Also use a flashlight to check for tiny bits of paper in the exit section of the machine where the fuser (hot) rollers are.

I had a paper jam. Got the paper out, but now

Some printers won't reset the jam condition until you open a specific door or cover -- even if you've gotten the jam out, they think it's still there until you open that cover. Try opening and closing all of the machines doors and access points, and even pull out the paper tray and push it back in.

If the jam condition still isn't cleared, turn the machine off and back on with the main power switch.

Paper jammed light stays on after removing jammed paper.

Make sure you have opened all doors and pulled out all paper trays. After turning the copier on and off if jam light stays lite then you will most likely have a sensor problem (fell out or broken)
