According to the manual, the part number for the ADF Document Assembly is VRC70001, but you may want to verify this with Ricoh before ordering, because the assembly is not shown in the parts diagram, only listed in the chart.

Did you ever get your answer? I'm trying to get one to quit pulling from the scan glass when it there's a doc in the ADF. When we load the ADF, the light comes on and everything! grr.
These scanners will collect alot of paper dust. You need to remove the ADF cover and using compress air and or a vaccum blow out the jam/original photosensor's, I believe there are 4 sensors. Power OFF then ON and try it..
When you first turn the scanner back on, the READY light will blink, indicating that the diagnostics are in progress. If the Ready LED and Paper Jam LED blink 8 times, the error indication is "Light Check Fail (ADF)" or "Flatbed /ADF inverter check error".
Followings are the solution for the above problem:
1. Lamp is on? Yes. CCD error, Optical assembly is to be replaced. 2. Lamp is on? No. Flatbed or ADF Inverter error. Lamp inverter circuit is to be replaced. 3. Lamp is on? Yes. Issue resolved. 4. If the Lamp is still off, then Lamp is to be replaced. 5. If the issue still persists, then you may have to contact the authorized Avision Service personnel for further diagnosis and suggested repair or replacement.
Hi, I don't know if it's permissible to advertise but we currently sell the assembly for the Xerox Documate scanners. As far as I know the scanner's discontinued, and the pads are getting pricey so consider how much longer you want to wait before replacing the scanner. sales at sprucecomputer dot co dot uk if anyone is desperate
This scanner can be controlled by PixEdit so you may scan any amount of sheets. Even easy continue scanning to one document when not enough space in the ADF for the hold stack
Loading originals to scan Use these instructions to load originals into your device for scanning. For the best quality scans, use the flatbed scanner. See Selecting media for the automatic document feeder (ADF) for guidelines on choosing original documents for scanning. Loading originals onto the flatbed scanner 1. Make sure that the automatic document feeder (ADF) input tray is free of media. 2. Lift the flatbed scanner lid. 3. Place the original document face-down on the flatbed scanner with the top, left corner of the document at the lower-right corner of the glass. 4. Gently close the lid. 5. The document is ready to be scanned. CAUTION To prevent damaging the device, do not allow the scanner lid to fall onto the flatbed scanner surface. Always close the scanner lid when the device is not in use. Loading originals into the automatic document feeder (ADF) input tray Note The ADF capacity is up to 50 sheets of 75 g/m2 (20 lb) media (depending on the thickness of the media), or fewer sheets if the stack fills the ADF. The minimum size for media in the ADF is 127 by 127 mm (5 by 5 inches). For smaller sizes use the flatbed scanner. The maximum size for media in the ADF is 215.9 by 381 mm (8.5 by 15 inches). 1. Make sure that the flatbed scanner contains no media. 2. Close the flatbed scanner cover and put the top end of the stack of originals into the ADF input tray, with the media stack face-up and the first page to be scanned on top of the stack. 3. Slide the stack into the ADF input tray until it does not move any farther. If this helps you, let the Boss, FixYa.com Know...
